Sayda pipes up "I'm too youngg to understand, but Regent Mitra says this place kind of unwinnds civilization in various ways. It can actually reduce banality in the sons of adam and daughters of eve by helping them realize things about themselves. How they handle that knowlede is up o them."

Indeed, some eyes watch with a kind of reverence, honor going out to warriors who are willing to challenge hemselves! Ad Jack has slid free and gotten a good shot on Buck's jaw. Buck felt that one, but he's still in the lead

Jessica nods agreement. "Place is popular with the Nunnehi, too."

"For them, this is a sacred place" Sayda nods

"I heard abou that" Clem says tthen whoops as Buck socks the Kinain right back by by feinting with a leg then doing a sudden jab with a fist!

Jessica sees one woman, her fae mein with scales along the neck and feathers in her hair watchiggg. A type of Nunehi she's not seen before. Like a feathered serpent pooka

"Sayda, do you know that Nunnehi lady?" she murmurs (loud enough for the child to hear).

"She's new" Sayda whispers back "the other Nunehi says herr tribe is... well, I think they're considered Pariahs, but respected ones? Which is weird cuz I tthouht a Pariah was bad?"

"Means outcast." Jess says, still watching the Nunnehi "Do you know her name?"

"I can't pronounce it, but I was told some call her Pathbender"

Clem lets out another woop as buck gets his foe in in a wrestling hold

Oh dear. She may leave this place in a midiriff. Clem always did have a bit of a savage in her

"Sayda, may I go and say hello to her?"

"Of course, " sayda says thenn "I'll watch after your friends"

"Thank you." Jess leaves Sayda with Clem (who's focused on Buck anyway) and approaches the Pathbender.

Pathbender notices teh approach

Jessica nods in greeting, and asks politely if the other woman speaks Spanish.

"I do. I also speak your English" Pathbender says. "Which colonozier tongue do you prefer?" a smile slips "I tease."

"I'm open to learning the native languages." she says, not without humor "I'm Jessica."

the woman extends a hand for a shake "Call me Pathbender"

The hand is shook. "Pathbender." Jess repeats.

"Forgive the observation but I don't recall having seen you, or your people, before."

"I am... rare." she says "no, you have seen serpent people, but not my kind"

Jessica nods. "I don't know how it stands between your people and the other Nunnehi here in Renaissance, but I am working for peace between all our peoples."

"It is why I'm here. To offer them the path to peace"

"Really?"

"I don't want to insert myself into your, and Nunnehi, matters but I would be interested in details, and participating if there is a place for me."

"If not, no offense taken."

"OH, they'll refuse me. I've made the offer before, my people hhave. For it, we're considered pariah, even traitors"

"Will you come see me at Fenix?" she asks "I'd like to talk."

"Perhaps" She says "But it is not you I must convince. Shall I give you a brief summary of what my tribe advocates?"

Jess nods, and looks around; there must be places a little quieter?

They find one, and Pathbender says "The Nunnehi must become Kithain. Harvestinng from the land grows hard. It is time for some of us, manny of us, to become as wesetern kith so we too can share the balefire"

A head tilt. "Become Kithain... you mean, be recognized as Kith and not Nunnehi?"

"No. I mean change our very spiritual nature to BE Kithain"

She says it as simply as that

"That's.... how.... that's Reweaving an entire ....."

"Oh it's been done before. The changeling way? you recall?"

"But... that was... it was mostly individuals?" now she's questioning herself.

"It was a cultural change made needful by a cataclsym." She replies "Now, if you'll excuse me? I wish to watch the fighting. Centaurs returninng.. a sign I think"

"Please come to Fenix, when you can." Jess invites "We should talk."

"More."

"Best for you I don't," She says as she goes to watch the fighting "you might be seeing agreeing with blaspmey"

"I'm willing to work with anyone who wants peace." then Jess sighs and rubs the base of her horns before going back to Clem and Sayda.

Clem says "Hey, you okay?"

"Fine. How's Buck?" she peers.
