She grips him firmly but gently with her much larger hand, and nods. "Safe travels."

Smaller it maybe , but his grip is firm too, "And may you find the peace you dream of"

And off he goes

For Jessica, well, she has tthat to thinkn on, and, she can join Clem and Buck at the Pitt

And she does, after making sure she'd dressed and ready.

She arrives at the Pitt, to find a fair sized crowd. The pitt remains the 'Angry sister' of Fenix, and while mortals aren't hurt here, they must tread carefully. Signs warn of 'life changing' events, and 'you'll feel the savagry' in both English and Spanish. yet, morttals don'tt realize how true it can be. I'ts not brainwashing, but there is a mood here, for some it riles them, for some it intrigues, but it can be primal.

The Pitt is here because of Jessica; she knows its moods and purpose. She looks for Clem, Buck, and Dame Mitra and/or Sayda.

OOC Sayda?

Sayda comes up "Hi, welcome to my hold" Children shouldn't be here yet somehow morals ignore the Clurichaun, possibly a selective veil. She whispers "Should I bow?"

Jess shakes her head in the negative. "No, let's not. Too many around." quietly "Good to see you; you're keepign well?"

"yes, Senorita. the Pitt is... " she closes her eyes, feeling tthe energy, "She's good. Imbolc was kinnd to her. We have a centaur about to fight. "

"I came to watch him."

Clem approaches with a beer in her hand, but her eyes are on the pitt. She looks torn on how to feel about this

"I'm curious too." Sayda says "Oh, there's Chief Clem"

Jess nods and offers Sayda her hand. "Want to go watch? Hello Clem."

"yes please" Sayda takes i

Clem says "hey, Jessica. This place is..something. Makes me want to throw down and try a fight myself. "

"It's supposed to."

"It's the pitt's nature" Sayda says "Funny thing, folks fight here, they usually feel more peaceful after, it's uhm.. a release?"

"I suppose" Clem says

"And a new contestant from El norte, Buck!" a voice calls out, clearly an announcer

Jess nods agreement with Sayda, and then turns her attention to the ring. She -happens- to be standing next to Clem on the other side.

Buck comes out, shirtless, he has an easy going grin. Looks like no weapons . He holds his hands up to he crowd in greeting. Those who are kithain, Nunnehi, or otherwise enchanted gasp! Most haven't seen a centaur before

Jess notes this.

"And an old Favorite... Jose the Jackhammer!" this guy is a regular, but not top tear. Redcap Kinain, his blood is strong

"you know the rules" A refereee tells them, but repeats them any way. Looks like this will be an unarmed fight

"Oh," sayda says "I thought he had a hammer?"

"He does" Clem says "I asked him to not do weapons"

Bets go around, one can place money on winners, though there is a cap so gambling addictts don't empty themselves in one bout

Jess puts a handful of dross on Buck.

And Clem does the same "He'd be hurt if I did'n't"

She nods agreement.

"that's how we get you" Sayda smiles

And the fight begins!

Buck is a big target, so he does get hit, more than once, but theyre either weaker than intended or the Centaur is just that tough as he seems to wade through htem, then swinggs a countter punch. Jackhammer ducks, only to get a forward kick with a hoof tthat sends him crashing back

Clem blushes purple , a mix of emotions probably going through her

"Go get him," She calls out, though possibly unheard overr the din

Jessica lets her support of Buck be known, as well.

Jackhammer tries to work the flanks to avoid those kicks, causing the centaur to turn about a bit, and this time Buck feels them. Good naturedly, he switches tactics, grabs Jackhammer and FLIPS him over to the ground! "Alley oop"

Jackhammer has grappled beffore, sure, but he's not used to going up over 6 feet plus o do it

He grabs at the Centaur's back leg, but this proves to be a mistake, as Buck raises it over him and brings it down. Controlled, but powerfful

As often happens at the Pitt, various mortals are caught in the dream.

Clem notices this "Is that red head in the corner panting over my man?"

Jess spares a glance.

yes, sometimes folks find thhese figghts a turn on, somethingg about having the strongest warrior perhaps. Old Dreams or Clutch Cover imaginings? Ironically it also works for female fighters, no dought some straight men in the audiance imagine themselves clutching at some Amazon's calf. this place is oddly egalitarian
