"Oh dear, he's a delicate fellow in his way isn't he?"

"Useful, though."

The waters flow about them both

Jess settles in a bit more. "Hm."

The water is warm, wonderful

She checks her (clothed) state - healed?

Yup!

Well down to healed scars anyway

"That's enough." She stands, water cascading off her. "I want food, and dry clothes."

"Fortunately available" She grabs sometowels for them both

A grunt. She takes the towel and does a cursory dry off before treading soddenly towards the kitchen.

"I'm hungry. Bring food to my room."

"Yes, Countessa" Rosa bows

She goes to dry off and change.

And soon, a knock at her door, the smell of food dancing through the cracks

Both Jessica and her stomach growl, and she opens the door.

Luis , fledge and troll holds her tray. "Pardon, Rosa asked me to deliver this to you"

"Mm." she nods and takes the tray.

The food smells good, a nice morning stew with some of her favorite flavorings

She starts to turn, eyes on the tray, and shut the door with a foot.... she pause to say "Thank you."

"De Nada, Jessica. " The man smiles "I don't remember all the party, but I know you were there for us when things got tense. If you need anything else, but let me know"

She nods; words are often more difficult around Samhain. It'll be better after she eats, it usually is.

He nods back, and closes the door

Leaving her alone. THough she imagined he was tempted to offer to stay

Nope; her food is all HERS.

Mmm good mix of savory and spiced.

And, she IS hungry. The food disappears quickly.

She wipes her mouth on the back of her hand, but then remembers to wash her hands. She takes the tray and goes out to the kitchen. She might need a little more.

Rosa and Maria are gossping in the kitchen a bit , then she returns and they look up

"Did you want more, Jessica?" Maria asks

She nods, setting the tray down.

Maria gets her more "Busy night, if a bit muddled. I am not surprised you need energy. "

She settles down in the kitchen as the food appears, and takes a bit. "Do you have any news?"

"Well, after Samhain there is always a scramble of folks trying to figure out just what happened. The Thallian purge, almost everyone has accepted that happened...many wounded from it...some kitahin nearly died. Dame Ash came close but she is being tended to"

Jessica swallows, nods. "Where are the wounded? I will go see them."

"Scattered here and there. Dame Ash is in her room, we check in her now and then"

(Dame Ash is buried under kittens, childlings, and blankets)

Rosa corrects Marie "Dame Ash is hardly alone. Once she had the worse of her injuries healed, the childlings saw to her"

"Oh dear, they've made a pile again?" Amused, Marie shakes her head

"I'll stop by." she takes another forkful and chews.

She eats quickly, in fact, hungry. She swallows the last bite and nods.

"Good." she says "Thank you."

"You're welcome, Jessica. Oh.. Fontaine didn't mean anything, you might be gentler on him next time?" Marie states "Just an opinion"

"Maria" Rosa whispers

"Mm." but, she doesn't glare.

They leave it that.

Jessica gets up to go seek out the wounded.

She peeks in Dame Ashe's room and sure enough, cats are about and more than a few children sleep with her. They had a long night too

There's a stack of crayon drawings on the nightstand. Ellie is nestled between Salma and Ash - the former fell asleep with her book still open!
