SIV grins, but wisely does NOT cheer or make any noises her sister can translate into gloating

Jessica takes it respectfully with both hands. "Thank you, Tqwai." She has watched closely to see if he uses magic or Glamour to pick the piece.

There was no cantrip, perhaps it's a birthright, like an Eshu finding the right path?

"You are welcome"

"Tqwai, would you accept an invitation to come visit me at Fenix? I would like to speak with and learn from you."

"Oh that will not be possible for a while but perhaps later, as the seasons change, yes?"

A curious tilt of her head, but she nods to accept. "I will look forward to it. Thank you."

She carefully pockets the figure.

Siv asks "Would it be wrong to buy one for a frriend?"

"Friendship is rarely wrong if the friend be true. But I must pick for her as well"

"Well," Siv reaches for her wallet then blinks "HOw'd you know it was a her?"

Tqwai smiles beautifically, closes his eyes, picks again, and wraps it into a cloth for Siv

He takes the money, of course, each time, but he doesn't bother counting them. Trusting them it seems to have givenn the right amount "You are both welcome. Remember, the best fortunes are born of good heartedness"

"Wise and honored words." Jessica tries his dialect once more. "We thank you."

"Very good" he approves in the same dialect

And off Siv and her sidekick Jessica go.. with the former ggoing "I couln't understand half of what you were saying there"

"My Spanish is pretty good." she agrees "I've been trying to pick up native languages and dialects. A huge challenge with the immigrant situation is that a lot of people from Central America don't speak Spanish; they use native languages or dialects. So they get here and can't understand either Mexican or American authorities."

"I had to make the effort to pick some stuff up."

"Geez that sucks for them" A nod "I hope fawn knows some"

(And off they go)

Back at the hold, Siv smiles "Okay, is it just me , or did you light up when we met that guy? "

"I haven't seen him before, Nunnehi keep themselves hidden a lot of the time. You can sometimes find them at the Pit. I've been trying for more than a year to get to a point where we can talk. Sure, I was glad to see a Nunnehi I hadn't met yet."

"A lot more pleasant looking than the flayed ones" She admits

"The flayed Nunnehi.... take some getting used to." Jess agrees.

"Centaurs, and Rusalka on top of it all" Siv says looking trhough her shopping bags. The charm was just one thing she got after all

"Check out this T shirt" She shows it "I think Piper will like it"

Jessica chuckles. "I'm sure she will."

"Thanks again for being so nice to her when she visits"

"I hope we are nice to all our visitors." Jessica says. They are in her rooms and Jessica sets the little figure she purchased (which was the only thing she purchased) on a desktop.

"You're never rude that I've seen" Siv agrees "And most at down righ warm here," A considerion "Kind of want to stab Sir Phobos though. Why on Earth did you make a Redcap your herald? "

"What did Phobos do?" Jessica is concerned "He needed to stay closer to the Freehold and I needed a herald and.... well, he kind of just started doing it and it made sense."

"He's LOUD i mean.. In my ear" She waves it off "nevermind. If it makes him happy"

"He -is- loud, but I can hear him wherever I am."

"Perk" She admits

As she sorts thrrouh "I hope PIper's moms like my gifts. I'm trying to make a good impression"

"Her moms?"

"Yeah, Lesbian couple" Nervous, yes even Fiona can be nervous "I'm going to meet them for the first time tomorrow" A breath "Jonas will be there"

"Wow." Jessica acknowledges the gravity of this. "When are you meeting -his- family?"

"His family is a different story" She says "Jonas is always accomidating. In fact I worry he gives too much of himself to folks" A frown

"Did you know that chuckle head was neglecting a roof over his head so he could save up for the three of us?"

Irritation flashes at that

"Meeting each other's families. Getting a place for the three of you, moving in together.... sounds serious." without judgement.

"We're not moving in together, not yet, the problem is he didn't have a place to stay at all. He'll be at pIper's apartment mostly, we put our collective foot and hoof down" But she seems aggitated "But he's acting like he's going to provide for me. I didn't ask him too."

"And PIper's moms.. okay, maybe it is getting serious. I'm good with that. I know three is an odd number to most but it's working"

Still she does look just a bit troubled

Jessica shrugs but not without care. "Jonas wants to provide for you; that's pretty normal. Especially for trolls. Her moms sound like they might accept three as the magic number."

"I hope so, just because they have a marriage others might not approve of doesn't mean they'll be okay with three"

"But.. you're probably right" A frown "STILL irked about ...well, Jonas treating me like i'm fragile just because Banality hits me harder. Took me forever to help ease mom and dad on that"

"Not sure you have, entirely; they might have gotten better at hiding it, though. So it's not really surprising Jonas is taking longer."
