To Siv's credit, while she clearly wants to ask more about Duff, not for the time of her whole visit does she bring him up again. Constance does appear asking if the Countess would like her to write a response to the Chieftain about the acceptance of Fawn

"Yes, please. We'd be happy to have her."

Constance writes it up

Siv says "Anything personal you want me to pass on as well?

"

"Yes, sure, um... I mean, give them my love and devotion, of course. I'm hoping to come up for Independence Day."

"Oh you just know dad and Uncle Olgar will be having another round of grill wars" A sotto voice "We must support father completely or he'll be deeply hurt"

"Well. Yes. Of course."

A confession, "Dad's burgers are the greatest, but sometimes, when da's not looking, I get one of Uncle Olgar's Brat dogs.. I think they might be just a bit better than dad's. Am I going to hel?" blink blink

"Both of them are very good grillmasters and our love for them both flavors the meal. Our father..... is our father."

"Yeah, he's a good man" then she recalls "Oh, want to pool resources to get him something nice for Father's Day?"

"Sure!"

"A new guitar?"

"I mean, he's loyal to his old one but.... or.... his glasses are good?"

Her eyes light up and make contact with Siv's, "Audio books?"

"Oh, maybe! he could drive with an Audiobook playing? Long travel might pass easier?" She ponders "I like the new guitar idea too. Save some wear and tear on the old one if he likes. I think eyesight wise he's doing fine. He can sure find an enemy across a field THAT much I can attest"

Jess smiles. "He's always used audiobooks, when there was one worth spending time with. So, ok." she considers "Maybe I could find someone local who makes guitars? I mean, local to here?"

"Sis, that's brilliant! Gives your locals a chance to show off their artistry, and makes it more special. I'll be happy to split the cost if you find someone"

She nods. "Ok, I'll start looking right away. You find and pick the audiobooks?"

"Sure, I know what he likes. Though if there's a particular one you want to reccomend, Let me know"

"I will, but you probably know better at the moment."

Siv admits "not as much as I should, been spending a lot of time at Piper's apartment in my down time"

"Mm. Sure."

"But he seems to like a variety still . " A smirk "Bet I can get some free Audiobooks of Val's work"

"Not sure that would be the best gift." Jess says.

"Dad doesn't like Epic Fantasy?"

"Not of that author, I think. Your call."

A frown "Okay. I didn' realize Dad had a beef with Uncle Vali's writing"

A small shrug "Talk to them about it. I have been wrong before."

"I will" Siv says "that troubles me. I thought most of the rends and tears in our community were patched up"

A shake of her head "well, it wouldn't just be his audiobooks either. "

"Maybe not. I didn't realize he was doing audiobooks.

"Well, obviously he's got a narrator now, haven't met her, but I'd say the work is hers not his since he's already gotten it written up" A smile

"Your call." Jess reaffirms.

"Sure.' Siv ponders "Guitar, think we could have the words 'world's best dad' engraved on it or 'love Jessica and siv' or would that hurt the sound?"

"I'll ask the luthier."

"thanks. I think dad would like it"

"I'll.... I'll ask."

"Now, since you brought up the craftsmen in the area and artists.. is there time for you to show me the local shopping scene? I might want to pick up somethingg for Jonas and Piper while I'm here too . And I KNOW you're proud of your City"

A shrug, a small smile "If you want."

"Thanks. I'd love too. " And she and her sister head out.

Shopping with Siv is kind of eratic, while jessica has some shops she wanted to show, at times Siv seems ready to check out obscure alley ways, and dark corners just to see. Fiona influence perhaps. It's not entirely safe
