Jessica considers the notes, tilts her head. "Dame, does the nature of the Pitt seem to effect the childlings?" No judgement, just curious.

"Yes, somewhat" She admits "the pit has been described as Fenix's angry little sister, and it fits . Rage comes easy, but that's nnot theo nly thing it's tied to. Competiveness as well, and the joy of testing limits are also factors. I try to direct it so it focuses on these later now and then, but childlings are more prone to get into scuffles or games of competition I've noticed. Sayda seems more resistent"

"I wonder why....." she muses. "What about you? If I can ask a personal question; do you feel effected?"

"I treat it like the protagonists of Dune treat fear.. I let it flow through me. I feel it, but it is felt and goes on. Att least that's the attempt. I will say.. mmm one odd thing"

An eyebrow urging her to go on.

"Some days, on the days when the Nunnehi shows, there's another odd vibe, seems to..replace the anger. It's.." She blushes "A sacredness?"

"You get a lot of Nunnehi there?"

"On new moons" she says "We get a few gathering as a group, but others come in singularly"

"Any regulars?"

"Well, twofeathers shows up... but you mean the local nunehi. yes, a few repeating faces"

"Mm."

A knock on her door

The sound pulls her from a deep thought and she looks up. "Come in."

Rosa comes in with ice cream "Le crema for the ladies while you complain about men" And sets it down and then leaves

"Wait, what?" The Eiluned says but the boggan is gone, so she turns to gaze at Jessica "What's this about men?"

Jessica manages not to sigh and roll her eyes until Rosa has left.

"Nothing." firmly "Really, really, nothing. Enjoy the ice cream, though."

"Jessica, I'm an Eiluned. Leaving me hanging is an act of cruelty. What's that ink sniffing meat head done NOW?"

Jessica tells her.

"That twit" She snorts

".... so now the Dauntain is dead, we have no other information or intel, a complete dead end."

"If she had contact with other Dauntain, we just lost any chance we had of a round up"

"Yep."

"Does he REALIZE that? I mean, he's moderately bright, if stubborn"

"He should."

"Well, what was his excuse? They always have an excuse"

THEY being men, most likely, and she scoops into her ice cream

"He thought he was doing something helpful, I think. -Why- he thought that is beyond me. I told him not to."

"Of course... and in onne ear, out the other"

"That's the best possible answer, yes."

"Oh" She says "You.. Jessica. I'm not dim. boggans aren't always subtle. Are they worried for your relationship with him?" A beat "Are YOU worried?"

"Maybe, and no."

"Mm how long are you going to give him before he needs to apologize?"

"He won't apologize unless he thinks he needs to, and he doesn't, and I'm not looking for an apology." she shrugs.

"What are you looking for?"

"Honestly, I'm not looking for anything. I'm just trying to run the County. I needed to know more about that danger to the people here."

"Mm I wonnder if his latest twittery from him was a cry for attention?"

"If it was, he won't be getting it."

"Well, I'm speculating. " She says "And I see why Iwas called here. The boggans want me to 'save' your relationship. They DO know I'm not Fiona, right?" Dryly

Jessica sighs. "Sorry you were dragged into this, Mitra."

"I'm not. I worry I'm terrible at helping you, but you're my friend as well as my liege. And if that means eating ice cream with you while we discuss how terrible men are and watch sad movies together, so be it. Though I suspect you'd rather defy the boggans and focus on your work and how things are going in other areas?"

"Not so much defy, as not needed. I don't need to talk about how terrible men are -or- watching sad movies. I'm angry about what happened, but it's done. So yes, I'm ready to move on."

"Sounds good to me. Are you hosting Beltaine strictly at the County level for all baronies too or did you want us to have smaller celebrations at our holds as well?"

Jessica takes a moment to consider it. "I'm open to both. I suppose we should talk about it. All the barons, I mean. I'm fine with hosting it all here but I think at a more local level it's important to establish and honor traditions. And, frankly, we all have very different holdings and styles."

"True, Tidemarch is rather formal if unnseelie I've noticed. You tend to delegate celebrations to a certain degree. tweak.. you know? I'm almost afraid to know what 'improvements' she has made on the holiday"

A rueful chuckle. "Exactly."

"Do you have any thoughts or preferences?"

"I think perhaps have each barony have Beltaine until noon, then move it to your place for the bigger festiivites? Beginn part, come together?"

"I.... I like the idea." somehow reluctant.
