She glances to Ellie. "four saved is four more than none."

"See, tell Dama Ash I did the maths."

Ariel says "We didn't know where to GO until now, Ellie"

"Come on, you can wait by the goats and we'll get the other three away from the scary lady."

Holger grunts, and doesn't wait, grabbing the boy and putting him out the window

The boy blinks confused as he lands "But.. that's just two goats pulling a toy wagon"

"Si. You wait, you'll see!" Utter confidence.

He doesn't believe, he doesn't see- but he wants to, and the charismatic young girl is hard to refute, so he goes and.. pets the goats

Salma lifts a long ear and listens... any sounds from either direction?

To the north, on the Eastern door, the clattering of pans

She shakes her head, ears flopping. And points towards the kitcheny-sounding door.

She whispers to Holger and Ariel, "One of us should not watch that the owner of some very Cold Feet do not come out that door..."

"That is a bad door, si."

"I think she means the hallway to the south is bad?" Ariel is not sure

Ellie nods, and heads for the kitcheny door.

A shake of her head to Ariel, then nodding.

and ..Ellie peeks in the kitcheny door , yes, peeking she sees a a girl washing.If she kens, she can see a scar ... one of NOT glamour on the brow of the girl... her eyes are empty, and she goes through the dishes with a motion of robotic ness

She recoils, just a little.

Salma watches in worry, and then trails behind Ellie as well.

And she speaks up suddenly, with her best subservient tone. One Ellie hasn't heard since Salma first arrived. "Mistress says that I am to finish these dishes. You must go clean the yard."

The girl stares blankly, then says "I will go to the yard"

Salma nods. "Be quick or she will cut a switch." And she starts on the dishes.

And she moves past

But as Salma starts to wash the dishes.. Ellie has a flash. not of the future, but of the almost about ot happen.. graynness spreading from the water, from the pan!
