Jessica nods respectfully, although she's not entirely off guard.

"pardon.. I was hopingn for a bit of the fire's light"

"I'm Jessica King." She introduces herself. "You know who I am?"

"i would not be much of a sluagh if I were not..." he says "thank you for providing haven to one of our young ones"

"You're welcome. You will come, stay, and go, in peace?"

"have.. some varich been spreading lies about..." the sluagh looks alarmed at the questioning "me? I have't even given my name yet"

"Give me your name and I will be able to answer your question. But if you have heard of me, you have heard that I make my own decisions about things."

"Viggo.. no relation to the handsome prince of gondor" dryly

"Viggo. Pleasure to meet you. No, I haven't heard of you from any Varich, or any other."

"good. I'm just low on glamour. I would never reave it's.. an abomination"

Jessica nods. "Will you come back with me now?"

"Si, and thank you"

Jessica nods and leads him back towards Fenix.

"Are you armed?"

"yes. A knife in my boot. You wish it?"

"Not at this time."

And they walk. Jess might be providing shade.

Viggo notices "thank you. The sun has always irritated me"

"I understand it can be difficult for your kith."

"just so.. for many loud noises do itworse, but for me i's always been bright light. I had a hat with a nice brim but I lost it"

"We should be able to supply another."

"that's not required by the escheat, I don't want to presume"

"It was an offer, not a request."

"Ah, well then I will partake. Thank you. Countess perhaps I can repay you?"

"Perhaps. We'll see. If nothing else I -do- owe you hospitality, and that includes a hat."

A chuckle , a raspy one

They arrive back, and Jessica shows him in, introducing him around..... although it might be a bit chaotic with people rushing around with ....lists?

he stares "this is.. not what I expected.." As he hears folks barter favors for a chance of April fool's off

She sighs. "I know."

"clearly atypical though. April fool's? Ah. " A nod "i see."

"This Freehold has strong pooka representation."

"mm they're not thinking this trhough " Viggo mutters

"Possibly not. Maria....." she waylays the boggan. "Can you get Mr. Viggo here a room, and provisions?"

"of course" She says "I'll prepare one now"

"Thank you. Mr. Viggo, come with me?" she leads him to the Balefire.

He moves to the bale with her and whispers "if the pooka are being obvious aboutt april fool's being their day, it's a side track. they may do it on another day, or.. they will likely note who runs, then prank them in their homes"

"Well, I'll be here no matter what."

She approaches the Balefire and greets it, fingers trailing through green flames.

It leaps and flows around her fingers

"Mr Viggo, this is Fenix. Mr Viggo needs to rest." She introduces them.

"She's lovely" he whispers "Madame Fenix, an honor" he looks better already

the flames seem to sheild the brightest glow from him out of courtesy

Jessica takes a seat, but no Glamour; just protective.

Also, there's less hubbub here.

It is quieter

Violet eyes peer at the newcomer - he is more interesting than coloring!

She'll have to watch from the hallway as he is guided to a room Oh but at least she can learn WHICH room

"thank you again, Countess" the sluagh says

"You're welcome. Feel free to come and rest again."

He bows and withdraws looking much relieved
