JESSICA dances. One two three one two three...

the waltz is... well, it's graceful, elegant, and some trolls might not feel it's for them

Bevara plays "Very good, just let the music carry you like gentle waves"

Jessica certainly does not.

"Don't be so tense" Bevara says "This is going to be required at holiday situations and is not the enemy"

"We have had holidays before without this." She observes.

"Before there was a Duke that pushed for them" She reminds "You might get away with ignoring his wishes, as he is a Liam, but.." The Gwydion says "We both know that will not happen. Now, lighter on the toes"

She sighs. This is SO not her comfort zone.

Tonto dances with her, big enough to be a partner to a troll "I feel pretty, one two three, oh so pretty, one two three, oh so pretty and witty and wise.."

"Please, Tonto, don't throw off the cadence" Bevera says

Nancy trots up "We have a situation"

"Thank God. I mean, what is it? Excuse me, Tonto, Bevera."

Bevera shoots nancy a LOOK

but the satyress says "Two nockers, one from the area of the pitt, and one from Skyhook, are holding a Chimerical monster duel, or about to... in a park. There's concern they might get out of hand."

"Nockers? Out of hand?" A rhetorical query. "Let's go." She grabs her maul and they are off.

"We'll pick up lessons later!" The Gwydion calls after

And they race towards the park.

Two giant monsters, each roughly thirty feet tall, await in giant chimerical cages! One looks like a giant six legged Salamander with four eyes and devilish markings!

The other looks like a deranged glowing neon green Kangaroo with patchy skin

"Good grief...."

Two nockers are glaring at each other, each with buttons ready to release.

And a crowd has gathered.

"You two want to tell me what this is about??"

There are Tesla coils in great positions, perhaps meant to act liike an invisible fence to hold them to the park

"Who the furk wants to know?" One nocker turns

"YEah, we got a duel of honor" Says the other

"Jessica King. "

Mutters and gasps all around "The Freeflame" "The Countess" "The Protector of the city"

"Oh. uh sorry, Countess.. never saw you up close before" One says.. a blink "Or in a dress."

Damn Bevera insisting she practice in a proper ball gown!

"It's a nice dress" The other one says

"Thank you." Muttered "You said something about a duel of honor?"

"Yeah, this putz says that Skyhook is the best fief!" One points "And that if I'm not working there I must be second rate at crafting"

"This schmuck" The other points "Says The Pitt's the best one for fighting of any sort... including Chimerical beast unleashing!"

Jessica massages her temples. "Gentlemen.... think about what you are saying."

"We did, we figured this is the one way to prove it.."

"yeah, duel of honor" The other says

"I want you to think very carefully about your plans. Because I'm going to stand right there and watch the fight. And if anything goes wrong I will blame you both."

"What could go wrong?" "Yeah we got this"

"Why not fight at the Pit? Perfect place for it."

"They won't fit" "ALso we needed neutral ground"

"Maybe so, but there's a reasonable chance a mortals going to see something out here."

"Only if enchanted right?"

"Are you sure this won't Enchant anyone?"

"Uh.. not many Chimera enchant humans"

"Yeah we just hit the switchs, it turns on combat mode... and they go on"

Jess is clearly still concerned but... "Does Mama Capitaz know about this duel?"

"Nah" The Spacehook loyalist says

"Same reason I didn't tell Baroness MItra" the other says "We don't hyide behind our rulers"

She sighs.
