There's He's lucky it didn't lose more than a finger.. she can feel some went clean through. Others had bullets lodged and they had to be removed. He'll be fine soon.But he's still sore NOW

"Duff......."

"Yes yes. I know. I could have died. I won't. " He assures "Fontaine's got in the fast mend"

"How did you get away?"

"I killed them" he reminds "So no one really slowed me down" He says "Then I ..called Necropsis for help"

"Oh no....."

"He was nearby... helped bandage me up and got me here"

"Relax, love. I didn't sign a contract or anything"

"You could have called me."

"Jessica... I knew he was nearby. " He says

"Still."

"Are you angry with me for not calling you?" Curious tilt of his head

A sigh. "No. I'm glad you're alive."

"Good. And I'm glad you're not blaming yourself for this in anyway " His good hand reaches out and touches her shoulder, pulling her closer to him

She doesn't resist but reminds him. "Rest....."

And his eyes flutter.slowly as he leans against her

"I'm really not tired.."

she doesn't have to be a Gwydion to know what a lie that is

"Mmm." a non-committal sound that might make Frank or Olgar cringe if they heard it at home; she learned from the best. She arranges herself so he can lean safely above the water, and on her.

"mmm?" but his eyes close and.. yes.. soon he is asleep against her

Going to be two blue prunes.... she thinks ruefully Oh well.

OH well...and yet, when she drifts off...well

Nope; they'd drown. She WILL stay awake and protect Duff from his dumb self.

And should they wake up , even if no longer in the water.. she'll find he's with her.. and completely healed.
