She makes a subtle gesture to those who are with her, indicating the pooka.

Soft nods, they don't lose him, they don't WANT to after all

Jess rides on, trusting them to do their jobs and ensuring she does hers; keep a sharp eye out.

And Jessica sees a flash of light to the east

She glances.

A drone? Could be something from Spacehook

Another gesture to the others.

"oh this is getting silly" The fake Ariel says

"Patience, -Ariel-."

"Yes, Chief" She beams almost as well as the real one

And they get closer to the beach.

"Thank you....." but it's not Chief..... with an internal sigh.

The ambush goes off pretty much on cue.

Jessica races first to 'defend' the childlings, calling "TO ARMS!"

And the battle goes on, as Jessica gets a strike in one of the attackers. That jackal pooka in fact who drew forth a gun, she clocks him hard before he can fire. The others move to the side hoping to overwhelm with numbers

Only to learn that the few guards are just the start, as the 'girls' attack

Jessica hopes to get a few captives to question, but won't be a stickler about it. She roars, cheering the 'girls' on with battle cries and fighting at their side.

The disguises do fade in the mikddle of the battle. One moment a little sidhe girl is pistol whipping a Nocker Ranter, the next Duff hovers over him.

And yes, they know to take prisoners.

Jack cries a warning "Countess, behind you!"

Then, Jessica and Duff fight together..... she turns, maul coming up to defense.....

And Duff and she cover each other's backs! Ruining an attempt to stick a knife in it
