The girls are not happy. A trip to the beach and they are NOT going?

Ariel scowls "it's a travesty!"

Ash sighs "Girls, this is a trap for bad guys. Okay. Others are going disguised as you"

"All the more shame!" Vaeltilde seems to have bonded with even Ariel over this incident

"Can we go to the beach after?"

"But why send people disguised as us?" Salma asks, disappointed. "We could just go and save the trouble, and play in the water until the bad guys showed up..."

"I could fight the bad guys!"

"The bad guys want to hurt all of you, Salma. This prevdents that" Ash looks to Ellie "yes we can go AFTER the bad guys attack goes wrong for them. And you could but that wouldn't be wise as it gives them a chance to win. "

Vaeltilde scowls "But people will think we're cowards"

"The Contesa and Barona will protect me." She smiles at Vaeltilde and Ellie.

"We would" Vaeltilde says firmly "With our heart's last breath" She is a very poetic girl in her way.

Ariel approves

"We would!"

"No one will think you're cowards because it's not your choice" Dame Ash says reminding the young sidhe that they really aren't being asked but told. Something sure to set well with them, but it does get them off the coward worries, right? "And why not just NOT risk Salma at all so she doesn't need a rescue?
" Dreaded adult logic

"But what if they come here while you're all at the beach, and we get attacked anyways and didn't even get to swim?"

Ariel declares in her best Churchill "We should fight them on the beaches"

Ash's eye gives that slight twitch.

Then she sighs "Girls.. there will be many guards here too. And they will think You are OUT there. So there would be no attack here"

"Unless they are very clever." Thoughtful.

"Maybe you should drop hints... so that they will come attack here instead, and we can REALLY BE on the beach." A smile, proud of her clever plan.

"Ooo, clever..."

"It's good viking tactics" Vaeltilde approves

Ariel nods

"You know, you all might be even safer in time outs" Ash hints

"Aw, Dama Ash..."

"Don't 'awww dama ash' me," The Knight says "This isn't a vote. Both the Countess and the Baron have agreed on this....."

"Boo, feudalism, boo..." Ariel says under her breath

Ash raises a brow at the satyress

who blushes "Sorry, Dame Ash."

"We deserve EXTRA time at the beach."

"I will talk to her excellency and his lordship about it, however I remind you, all of you are already in trouble for zipping off after me to enter battle"

"We did" Vaeltilde says "And Master Jum is my friend"

Salma nods at this.

Ash sighs "You did."

"However" She continues "It doesn't change the fact you could have been hurt in doing so. "

"So dont' expect a lot of bargaining power here with the Countess and Baron" Firm

"But we can go after you catch the bad guys?" Salma ventures.

"Not until we tell you can, young Salma."

A huff, disappointed. "What will we do until then?"

"Well, you could all study"

Ariel maKes a face at that

"No habla ingles." Salma collapses in a delicate heap.

"Good idea, Salma, study your languages." Ash says

"Yeah, Estoy Murder us already" Ariel says not happy either

"You'll live. You can play here as well I suppose, but it will be here" Ash insists

"Salma, can you read a story?"
