Vaeltilde comes upon the room of her dolls, "I saw your jester, he seems very funny but so big. Is he dangerous in a fight?" Then she gasps. While the girls have been gone, the dolls of her room have been rearranged. They are positioned and placed to spell out on the floor 'NOT WORTHY'

Ellie rolls her eyes. "Brathel is a jerk."

"See how he projects?" A little sniff, and she picks up a doll to put it back.

"One day" Vaeltilde says with a cold fury, "I will be allowed to meet him on the field of battle. I will sever his lying serpent tongue from his fat mouth" And true to her sidhe kith, she is hard to look at, or look away from, all at the same time.

"And the world will be better for it. You need proper companions. He is not an acceptable playmate."

"No, but there are no other sidhe my age here normally" She says

And she calms a bit

"Well, either you need to visit Fenix more, or perhaps some commoner playmates?"

"Aesin aren't always good with commonrs" She admit "We don't as a rule mingle with our subjects"

Ariel clamps down on whatever she's thinking of saying

Ellie nods. "People who are different from you can be confusing, and hard to understand, and... maybe even a little scary, sometimes. But the more you understand your people, the better you can serve them, also. Right?"

"I...suppose" Vaeltilde says "But the Baron Tidemarch doesn't have many commoner friends either" A pause "Then again, he doesn't have many sidhe friends. He's a private man"

"Varich tend to be cool. But... just because you don't understand commoners doesn't mean you dislike them. I know how the world can sometimes feel very scary and alien and cold... "

"It is, and not the cold like in stories of winter wonderlands, the cold of the North Sea, it's an empty cold, I leave the hold and ..well you must feel it too. It gets into the bone, and then tries to get to the heart"

"I don't leave the hold very often..."

"Commoners don't feel that the same, I don't think..." A look at Ariel. "It's more home, right?"

"It still can be ...chilly? Like... sometimes you walk past a normal person and a shiver?" Ariel says

Ellie nods. "And sometimes everywhere feels like that. Like... like how you have fur, that protects you from a blustery day? Sidhe don't have so much insulation..."

"oh" Ariel says "I heard that's because you possess people"

Salma suddenly coughs, and remarks, "You have so very many dolls. May I see their dresses?"

Vaeltilde was about to say something to the satyress, but then the Pooka speaks and she says "Oh yes, mi casa es su casa"

Ellie is quiet, looking at ARiel.

Ariel looks confused at the scrutiny

"Did Master Jum make the dresses, too?"

"They are so pretty, and so unique. The dolls I have are mostly princesses. How did they think of so many unique styles? See, Ariel? This one is blue, it would look so nice on you, if only you were not too big to fit." Holding up a doll with a particularly vibrant blue sash.

"Well, Thank you" Ariel says "I do like blues and greens..."

"Yes, Master Jum did." Vaeltilde says "he takes extra care for each doll and he knows how to sew. He says it doesn't take much material, but I think it must be tricky to make things so small so details. See, this one has tiny buttons, and this one has a seam" She shows off the boggan's work "When I am Baroness, Master Jum will be taken care of always for... he doesn't ask for anything. He.. he's just nice. I'm going to make sure he never wants for anything" A set look

Ellie nods.

A small smile.

"Maria and Rosita, they are very nice to us."

"They make the best pastries, and are helping me learn how to burn things, and sometimes how not to."

Ariel agrees "Boggans always want to help folks who are down, but I think they're nice even when you don't NEED something. It's like , they don't just pick you up when you're down, they help keep you high in the air." She admits, then in a low voice "But they can get fussy over little spills and things"

Vaeltilde looks left and right then whispers "Mister Jum IS so fussy about touching his materials. But it's SO hard not to.. the materials for his little dresses? How am I supposed to NOT want to touch patches of Velvet, then satin? "

A siiiigh. "Oh, I bet."

"I know, right?" Says Vaeltilde sounding very much like a human girl might at that.

Ariel agrees, "oh I couldn't do it" An admission "Once the Hearth was working with the most beautiful lace and I just..needed to feel the pattern work"

"I do like pretty dresses. I know it's frivolous..."

"We all like pretty dresses" Ariel says to defend one friend by gathering up another "Right, Salma?"

"I like dressing my dolls up, I call them the princesca and the cabracita."

She reaches over and tugs Ariel's hem back into place with a grin.

"Hey!" A smile and a laugh.

"HEY" But Ariel laughs too

Vaeltilde looks at the three girls with a bit of envy but also joy

"Do you think your Master Jum could make a doll with long ears?" Curious. "Not that anyone would want something so silly..."

"Well, of course, he's a master of his.. oooo" Vaeltilde says then ponders something

"Pretty grey ears."

A bite of her lip, then "Would you like to meet Master Jum?"

"Is he here?" A look at Salma and Ariel.

"No, but I can call for him probably" Vaeltilde says

"Can't we just visit him? This IS supposed to be a tour" Ariel suggests
