Jess nods her understanding. Her attention is split between observation and acknowledging the crowd.

She rises up, and wiggles just her ears in view.

A Chinchilla pooka pounds his chest and points to Salma "South side, Represent!"

"Viva... ah, viva le pooka!" She calls out tentatively, rising up a bit to peek out at Ellie's side. "¡Mi señorita, mi amiga!" Annoucing to any listening that the heir is both her Lady and her friend.

Cheers at that!

Ellie hugs Salma.

"Viva la Condesseta! "

"Si! Viva la Condesita!" Salma takes up the cheer.

and others do as well... particularly childlings. Jessica can see that Ellie is getting a lot of love from kids that dont' even know her. To the very young, to childlings, ones with old souls in the youngest bodies, they feel having her there gives them a voice, or at least a face!

Sometimes it is easy to forget changelings are dividied as much by seeming as they are kith

"Flame free" others cheers, the grumps and many of the wilders, well, Jessica is the one who brought htem peace

So many people to see! People, and buildings, and dogs, and pigeons...

For Ellie this is a side of Tijuana she hasn't seen. Sure, it's not as colorful or glamourous as the hold, but the gray background makes the glamour and colors shine all the more!

The itinerary has them heading first for Baron Tidemarch of the Sunkissed Waves. Jessica has given Ellie a little background on the man and his land, so she can be informed, and Dame Ash has discussed the matters in more detail. It will not be a long progression (Tijuana is, after all, still ONE city) but it IS a progression.

Ellie makes sure Jessica ALSO has a little flag. It can't hurt!

Oh, Jessica takes one!

"If you wave like this, your hand won't get tired." The little sidhe helpfully demonstrates.

Jessica gravely copies Ellie.

"And then smile!"

"I'm a troll. That takes special practice."

"Si, but you are a Countess. And it will make your people happy to see you happy."

Jess coaxes her lips into a small smile.

"Just like that." Approving.

"Hmmphm."

(But she keeps the smile on. And tries not to make eye contact with Duff.)

"It's one of the hardest things, sometimes." She nods. "Especially when you are scared or sad."

"I am not scared or sad." She assures.

"So much easier."

"Do you have any questions about Baron Tidemarch?"

"Well, he's Varich."

"Yes."

"Do you think there will be many Balor there?"

"I am not aware of any at all. But they will respect us and our mission."

She swings her feet. "Are you nervous?"

"No." calmly.

"What do you need me to do most?"

"Well, you should connect with your friend there." Jess points out. "Get to know people we don't see every day."

She nods. "Vaeltilde."

"Yes. And people at the court there. And, outside too if we have the opportunity."

"Do you think we'll be able to play outside?"

"I am sure something could be arranged. There is the beach....."

"Si! Ariel likes the beach a lot."

"Do you think Vaeltilde willl? Do you think the Melisune or the Aesin will be more proud?"

"I am not sure. I hope Vaeltilde will enjoy it, as she is heir to our coastline. I am not familiar with Melisune, only stories about them. I couldn't say who is more proud."

"Do you like the beach?"

"Did someone say Beach?" Ariel chimes out

"I have not been often." Jess watches the road ahead.

"Will you play on the beach, too?"

"I will" Ariel says whether the question was for her or not
