Zara has emerged from Earl's room, in quest of tea.

And sees Zane talking to Piper "Okay, so Jaymes gave glamour without asking? Well not like he talks much"

Zara skirts near, listening without being immediately obvious.

She nods. "Tove too. I hit up the Apartments - I wasn't sure about Satyr glamour, but Lyron is really good people and from the Islands so it has a good beach vibe. Rikki and Tikki each donated... though I think I owe some favors? I didn't quite follow, but I guess I'll figure it out. Connor and Jack, they were curious but they're both sweet hearts. Oh, and..." Her nose wrinkles a bit. "Vali just was waiting for me ready. Or he acted like he knew I was coming. I'm not sure if he did or was just teasing me? He is a CONFUSING Troll." Her hands thrown up a bit. "But... I got what I could. How did you do?"

"I didn't know if I could talk to the Chief or Mountain, not without spilling her secret... or Sylvi or the Hearth. They're just too canny to pull one over on. And I don't want to toss someone else's private laundry all over the place. Not after I already stuck myself in uninvited."

"I got some materials from Neema like you suggested, and Phoebe had some dross"

She glances around, her voice kept low. But maybe she doesn't notice Zara, or take notice of her. Not too familiar with sluagh, perhaps, as she seems to overlook that the figure over there could be listening.

"I have the rest of my dross from the singing contest. And what I got for the... the raid, I never used that. Meant to give it back to the Hearth, but I'll just... repay her later." A nod.

"The dross from the singing contest? You sure. You worked hard"

"I earned it, it's mine to spend how I want." A nod.

"Okay.. but we can't delay on this. her soul is at risk"

"Is Jonas back?"

"Point of fact, yeah."

Is the sluagh closer? Nahhhh.

Zane doesn't see her at all

"We should ask those little girls, if we need to top off the tank. The three of them are little rays of sunshine, and that's pure and sweet and maybe helpful... though I hate taking glamour from them if they need it. I mean, I'm sure the county provides, but still. I don't know them well." Thinking.

She peeks over Zane's shoulder. "Um, hi?"

Hand on her chest, and a nod.

Zane starts to say "I think maybe the girls would be..." He turns "Dionysius' Drunken Dingle.."

He cluthes at his chest.

And that was Zara not TRYING to hide

"Zane."

"Sorry, startled me"

"And - ah - Piper, aye?"

A glance from the sluagh to the satyr, and she shifts her weight with a tip tap of hooves. "You've got me there, but... sorry, have we met?"

"The one who rather unwittingly saved Siv, as I understand."

And she rocks back a bit. "We haven't yet-" Then closes her mouth and looks to Zane.

"We have not. I am Zara."

"She does a lot of her best work when she's witless" Zane says

"We haven't met." She fills in there, and offers a hand. "Well, Hi."

"Piper, Zara, Zara, Piper."

And a LOOK at Zane.

A smirk

Zara takes the hand - her own touch is cool, almost clammy.

"Rather the to-do, to hear it - messages in bottles, taxis, drop-offs..."

Piper looks baffled.

"But, doubtless, Siv would not have survived without that gift to sustain her."

"So this is a "Da'an" thing?" Zane says

"For all she is bold, she is delicate. Nay - Miss Piper saved one she cared for, some time back, when she came here to troubador."

"You know Siv too?" She asks, seemingly behind, trying to make sense of this.

"Aye. Siv is my friend."

She looks to Zane, a question in her expression.

Zane looks at Piper "She's better than I am, at magic, does more, knows more." He sighs as he gives up his spot to be the hero "And she is Siv's friend. We should include her. " A beat "Besides, she's a slaugh, she'll just learn on her own if we dont' tell her"

A tiny grey smile at the last bit.

She bites her lip. "You're the one I know and trust, Z. No offense, miss Sarah. But... if you can help? I ain't going to pass up any chances."

Prickle. "Zara."

"Zara" Zane says "names, even call names are important and..."

Then he blushes as Zara beats him to it

Hand to her chest for Zane. "Thank you."
