Dreams... Dreams float...

A chain adorned with goat horns and serpent fangs rattles and clink.. and everytime they shake, people cry out in sad despair.

A wheel of blue fire opens like an eye, and gazes at the chain with despleasure

And then a whisper 'I thought this book was closed'

and a pale hand, feminine reaches out and motions figures to move

And those that can't see that call by night find the blue flame lighting a path

A fist of many different hands is closing.

Ellie tosses, fitful in her sleep.

And a voice says "Be ready with the lodestone or the giant might fall"

and she wakes

Ellie sits up, hugging her little princess doll from Tonto.

The little dolls has reassuring eyes. Full of lessons like 'if you believe in yourself you can make it' and 'Everyone deserves a happy ending' and more

She slips quietly out of bed, and pads on bare feet to the hallway.

It's early still not dawn, though probably close.

She finds her way towards Dame Ash's room, and raps softly on the door.

A stirring "Who is it?"

"It's Ellie, Dama"

The door opens "Elle? " Dame Ash is wearing a night gown but she got up quick to open the door "Is everything all right?"

"I had a dream."

"Oh my" She nods and returns to her bed, and pats the corner of it "Tell me"

The little sidhe climbs up. "Something is coming. A pale whisperer."

"..a lady whisperer. She is angry at the chains."

"What chains?" Curious "What did the chains look like?"

"full of horns and fangs..."

"They have people trapped, and they are crying."

"The whisperer has a right to be angry"

"Princesca?" A sleepy voice calls from the hallway, pausing in the door. "Porque estas despierta?" Forgetting English in her drowsiness, and with an armful of two similarly sleepy looking kittens.

"There's many hands, all closing..."

A motion to Ellie from Ash. Beaumayn matters aren't for other's ears. Even wise beyond their years donkey ears

She bites on her lip.

Her head tilts to one side, and she blinks, thinking. "I will go get some champurrado, it is ready for the morning and just needs the heat. When you come to bed, we will drink some, yes?"

"Si, Salma! Es... es bueno. No... no... problema. No worries."

"No worries." The lie in her eyes there, and she comments to the kittens as she pads away in stocking feet, "See, Ramona, Donquito will listen if you tell him what woke you up.." And she is around the corner and gone.

Ash nods with a smile to Salma

then turns "She's a good friend young one" she says to Ellie

"She is."

"Many hands mmm mm anything else?"

"Be ready with the lodestone or the giant might fall"

"You need a magnet, or maybe will" A thought "I'll make sure you get one" A nod

"How will that help?"

"A Lodestone is a natural magnet... used for some of the earliest compases"

"But how do we know how to use it? Or where? Or who the giant is?"

"I bet the lady's a sluagh."

"You wont know, until it's time. That's why it's best to keep it handy" She says "I'll go find one. Go talk to Salma. She misses you and worries I think"

She nods. "Okay."

"And yes PROBABL Y A sluagh...though always leave room for other options"

Ash kisses her on the forehead and scoots her off so she can hunt

"We don't have lady sluagh here."

"Thank you, Dama."
