Bonk's pranks include buckets of water on half open doors. Which can be funny depending on who gets splattered

"That's not very nice, Maria and Rosalita will have to clean up..." The little countess scolds.

Bonk digs a toe in the ground and looks sheepish...then bounces away

She frowns at the door. How to get it down without setting it off?

Then Phobos steps through and... .. get soaked

"oh no..."

Phobos' eyes narrow.. and a low growl then he sees the Countess... and she ight swallow... but what he says is "You do this?"

BIG EYES but she shakes her head no.

He takes the bucket, and sniffs it, then .. he takes a HUGE Bite out of it... and walks off.

"Oh..." She frets.

To be fair, by redcap standards that was civilzed

And now there's a puddle.

To the kitchen!

She finds Rosaletta talking to Maria in Spanish... she can't make most of it out. Gossip to be sure.

She waits, only fidgeting a little bit.

Then they notice her "Oh, Condessa. How are you?" "Can we get you something, Excellency?"

"I don't know where the mop is... there's a spill?"

And suddenly the boggans are on guard! "We have it , where?" a mop and new bucket is found

"Down the hall, I can show you."

"Gracias"

"De Nada. I did not want anybody to slip and fall. Pranks aren't funny if someone is hurt."

"A prank? Who did this?" Maria asks no nonsense. While both are nice, Maria is firmer and not to be trifled with

"Um..."

"Condessa, was it one of the jesters?" Maria says

Even as they start to mop

A little nod. "A prank, si?"

"Si. So which one?" Rosalitta asks gently

"Nobody was actually hurt."

"Phobos got wet, though."

"...He won't HURT Bonk, right?"

"I think maybe one of us should make sure he doesn't..." The two boggans exchange looks as they clean "We'll make sure he doesn't. the jester position, whoever gets it, must be protected from some harm."

"Oh, that's important, yes! I remember, otherwise, they would be too scared to do their job."

"Bards and Fools are sacred, because they tell the truth in different ways."

"Jesters LESS so but yes." A nod and the clean "But Bonk eh? Mmmm" They exchange looks againk, nod, and finish up

"Tha-muchos gracias for cleaning up."

"...Do you like the jesters?"

"They can be messy, but they are funny" Maria admits

"They make me laugh" Rosalita agrees

"They ARE funny. Did you know that Slap can touch her head with her bum?"

"No I did not!" A snort from Rosalitta

"They SCARY Agile, even for ther kith" Maria admits then looks at Ellie "Is slap your favorite?"

"Slap and Dash are fun, but I think Tonto is my favorite."

"I think Bonk is Ariel's favorite, though..."

"Mmm" They nod "Well, I think she likes Tonto too so.. she will not be too hurt if he wins"

"But would Bonk and Slap and Dash be hurt of they don't win?"

"THey are professionals, all of them are.. they cannot all win," Maria says "That is part of life, that one cannot always be the best, and even if one is best in place, they may not be best for another"

Rosalita nods "one day you may have to rule, little one, and you will have to tell many people 'I am sorry, you are good but not who I have chosen'"

A soft sigh. "I don't like that part."

"It is why good rulers do not always smile" A nod from Rosalita, "Countess Jessica, she wears the world"
