A look of discomfort flickers across her features, but she says. "It would certainly be a change of pace."

"What's wrong?"

"Oh.. Carnivale can be tough, yes."

A sigh. "I'm afraid I'm ... it's not my favorite holiday."

"I understand. I don't like being teased."

"It's a duty, so... chin up, right?" Sigh.

Jessica nods. "Yes. It is a duty."

"Bonk seems a very traditional jester. Pranks."

"Fenix is a pooka-heavy Freehold, comparatively. We usually have enough pranks, at least... I think so."

She nods. "Pooka are nice, though. Easy to talk to."

"Mm." Somewhat sour.

Head-tilt.

A sigh. "Sometimes, you can end up saying more than you want to."

"oh."

"But... they aren't ones to spill secrets, either."

"No?"

"Well - they don't tell you their secrets, either."

"Pooka always seem to have a lot going on under the surface."

Jessica nods. "Pooka have a bit of history here. I'll get you some records, um, stories, about it."

"I can read records. I'm guessing history will be part of my lessons..."

Sigh. "It has been SO nice being a little girl."

A head tilt. "Has been?"

"Well... lessons again, right?"

"A few hours a day." She agrees.

"Play and adventure is important too."

"It is very nice being able to play. Ariel and Salma and the kittens and even the boys are nice."

Jessica nods. "Some play, and some lessons."

"I'd like that."

"And the jesters?"

"I like them."

"Do you want them to stay here full time?"

Jessica considers. "I think.... all things considered.... the position might be centered here in Fenix but in service to the County?"

"Ahhh..."

"Then maybe it might be good to have them... rotate?"

"Well, a jester post here, singular, and bring in guest-jesters on some holidays to provide relief?"

She nods.

"Smart."

"Who did you like best?"

A very soft smile. "I'm not sure I saw enough of them to make a good decision, but I know you did so I will take your recommendations into consideration. I like Tonto; he made you laugh. Slap and Dash worked well together, but two jesters might be... a lot. I didn't see much of Bonk."

"I don't think I saw enough of Bonk to judge. He seemed very funny, though."

"Tonto was my favorite, though."

"Let's offer them 3 nights of hospitality and see more of them?"

"Oh, good plan!"

Jessica nods with a smile. "Would you like to make the offer to them?"

"Really?"

"Yes, absolutely."

"I'll do it!"

The jesters have been gathered in the main room

"Mind if I come along? "

"I would like it, yes, please."
