("Are you at the lodge? I could be there in two shakes of a goat's tail. Mine, in fact.")

("Girl, you know i love the way you shake your tail." She can hear the grin over the phone. "You got Zane beat to hell, that's for sure. Nah, not the Lodge. Zane brought me to Tijuana! There's a way to get here through the Lodge, though. Do you know it?")

She blinks, and, ("Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! You went to -MEXICO-?")

Adam pulls the phone away from his ear; a voice can be heard. Then, ("Yeah. You want to come join us?")

He can hear the pout in her tone. "I thought you and I were going to go on a sandy beach get away. But you went with Zaaaaaane."

("And if I know him, he's hot-hoofing towards the prettiest thing on two legs - or more if he can swing it.")

("I left him doing magic tricks for little girls.")

("And we -are- going to the beach, me and -you-!")

("Hmmph. Well, you're already there, you should go and see it. Get a little sand and salt on your skin."

("I'm not -at- a beach! Closest they have is a pretty sparkly spring-spa-thing.")

("Aw, Piper, I wanna go with you.....")

("Who would build a hold in Tijuana and NOT have it be on the beach?" Incredulous.)

("Ask the Chief and Mountain, it belongs to their daughter. The other one, not Siv.")

("Siv should settle in there as home port and sail the Pacific seas." She remarks fondly. "You're already there. You go have fun." Her voice light.)

("Aw, Piper......" Sad Adam "... can't you come here?")

("No, you're on an adventure with ya boy. You have fun." She insists.)

("Not mad at me?")

("It wouldn't be fair now, would it? No, you have fun. Drink a margarita for me if you can find one?")

Though, she wonders at the time difference, glancing up at the cloudy night sky. "Is the sun setting?"

("Let me go look!") Adam dashes for the door, looks outside. ("It looks like it.")

("Oh... is it doing the thing where the sky turns all blue and purple over the skyline? Even in LA with the pollution, it was so beautiful to watch the sun set down into the Ocean - even on the beach here you can't see THAT... Not even Zane has magic enough to do that one.") A small grin.

("Well, there are walls around this.... like... play yard with rooms around the walls and an old fountain in the middle? I can't really see a skyline but if you want I can climb a wall.")

("Will you now? Climb a wall for me?")

("You have to hurry, before the sun reaches beneath the buildings!")

("Hell yeah! Hang on." There's a change to the ambient sounds, then some scratching and scrambling, a bit of puffing breath.... "Ok. I'm up. Yeah..... it's still blue but there's purple and then it's going ...like... hot pink.")

(bloop, facetime request*)

Her own image is dark and blurred, in motion, as she clips over to find the nearest street lamp to stand beneath so he can make out her face, backlit on a dark night. "This is better than a selfie?"

"Piper!" He really -does- look delighted. "Yeah, a thousand times. Wanna see?"

"Please?"

He turns the camera, and it is as he described. Beautiful.

He can hear her make a delighted sound. "Take a selfie and send it to me, before the colors fade?"

"Hang on." He turns the phone, there's some motion-sickness-inducing movement, and then the selfie pops up on her screen.

"Ooohh... beautiful." Twice now today ladies have called him handsome, and in two languages. Careful or he'll get a big head.

"We'll come here together." He says, sure and certain.

"They said they have music here."

"They do tend to have music most places." She adds with a practical grin.

"Well, you went all the way through the trods to get there. Go make the most of it."

"Come join me." He entreats. "There's a gate at the Lodge, a door in a hallway. Zane showed me."

Zane the brujo is getting all of the accolades. And possible churros.

A shake of her head, dimly backlit. "Who knows how long it would take? The dreaming is weird like that. It might be a minute, or you might be home looking for me by the time I got through." She insists. "And it's already late. Just have fun, okay?"

Salma has peered out the doorway to see what the crazy kinain is up to - she is pretty sure that climbing a wall like mamacita isn't proper... but was that TWELVE scarves from Ariel's ear? She turns back so she doesn't miss any!

"Hey, it's dark there so I should probably come back soon but.... can I call you later? I really appreciate your call and your offer and I'd like to make it up to you." Sincerely.

"We'll have dinner soon. Promise."

"At the hot springs, maybe?" He's grinning.

She laughs. "We'll see. Now, go enjoy Me-he-co. Kiss kiss."

"Love you." Softly, perched on the top of a stucco wall with a view of Tijuana's sunset.

"Ditto." Leaning against a cool lampost, harsh neon fading into the night sky, too cloudy for the sliver of moon to show her face.

"Ok. Bye."

"Bye." She leans in to lightly kiss the screen, then clicks to end the call.

When he sees what she's doing, he kisses her back, and she disconnects the call. He sighs, pockets the phone, and climbs down.
