ellie better move fast, there is only one purple hoop on a stick left!

Nancy says "Let's just dance... it's tradition to use the pole and go in cirlces and so on.. anyway, it's fun"

"Oh, yay!" She goes for it!

"Um...." She glances at Duff.

An Eshu might cut Ellie off at the pass

She looks affronted, and there's the start of a mighty pout.

In a flash of guilt, the Eshu slows

She beams as she claims the last purple!

Ash raises a brow "Ellie, you DO know the Spanish word for thank you, right?"

A guilty look. "Gracias."

The Eshu girl looks mollified "De Nada" she says picking a green one

Jessica finds Duff motioning "why not? It is tradition"

She points at the purple hoop, then her purple dress - big eyes, trying to explain via charades.

A bit reluctantly, but duty-bound, Jessica moves to dance. Traditionally.

The Eshu gestures to HER purple dress but yiedls as her eyes ARE Not purple. Envy there. A bit of an oo

And then there is a troll.. who had one of the purple ones. And he offers it in trade to the Eshu. Holger was one of the first to 'frolic' as duty required. But he can Frolic AND make peace. Such is the troll's mission.

The Eshu brightens and trades her green one "Gracious, Holger"

"Oh, gracias!"

Holger blushes.. lightly, and he wills it away

She offers her hand for the troll to kiss.

HOLGER's eyes go wide.

"I don't know how to say it in spanish, but you were most gallant, Sir Troll."

He takes her hand and drops to one knee. He is a trolls so on his knee is still ln her gyes

"Gracias... Holger?" She looks at the eshu then to the troll, trying to confirm.

A nod

Duff moves quickly... And picks the boy up and talks into his ear.

Jess turns, maneuvering her ribbon around another dancer....

Holger blushes then says "Gracias , Comtese. "

"De nada."

Jess turns and moves ,it's all ladies at this pole... and that's fine.. they twin and close in each other, and it gets more and more fun

Jessica focuses on the patterns, not colliding with anyone, and not strangling anyone or herself with the ribbon.

She starts to relax, and her worries begin to fade

For Holger, he blushes againa nd scoots away.

And the wilder fellows watch the wilder ladies with a mix of desire and admiration as they move along the maypole

And the childlings make bubbles!

The bubbles get more frantic and fun!

Music, dancing... and Ariel is laughing as she puts a bubble over a pooka and the pooka floats low to the ground

Both Countesses feel banaltiy lift.. and fun happen, but they don't lose focus on their friends and charges

Jessica does start to enjoy this, as she sees the intended effect taking place.

Ellie does feel... oh no... the sugar rush... is fading... the childlings are tapping down...

She looks around, searching for... someone...

"Nap time for the young ones here near the blankets..."

A lip tremble.

and laughter from the Maypole and "Ladies, keep your ribbons, that was fun. We use them at the auction later to claim your gents."

Ariel sees her friend start to fuss "Hey? what's wrong?"

"Claim... what?"

"...tired."

"We're renting the guys out... " Nancy says "they get to serve us food later tonight and dance with us or whatever... "
