"Demos helped me out" She says "I figured it's best not to ask about where he got the volunteers"

A sigh.

"Okay, Okay."

"Glad you get it," She says "I'm working on something else too but it's not far along."

"Want to share?"

"Mmph" She says and pulls out a carton of milk, well, no mlik in it, just a carton, "Take a look"

She takes it, and looks.........

It has the 'have you seen me' with a mortal kid, but as she turns it, the chimerical ink comes alive... and instead, it lists safe locations for childlings on the run to hide...

"if yo ushake it, it talks..well, whispers, and tells you the locales, in case they don't read too good" A snort "Not going to be able to make any dinero with this though"

A blink. "I love it. It won't... um, accidentally send them into Customs custody, will it?"

"No, but it's... still new. I want to test it out some, and it needs to last longer. Right now the ink fades after a few days."

Then "chu really like it?"

"I really, really do, Symond. I want these in every barony, every bodega."

Startled "But it won't make you any dross or Dinero. It's a loss"

"I mean, unless you save some lost sidhe brat I guess"

"It's not a loss, Symond." She stares a moment. "How much is.... is Tweak's life worth?"

"A furking fortune ..she's got a hold attached to it, and more diagrams, I mean, she's old, but you could milk her for ideas like getting cheese out of a goat."

Jessica nods. "Do you know how she and I met?"

"You rescued her from forgetting is the story... she knew your dad from before"

Another nod. "You know what she was doing when we met?"

"no?"

Another nod. "Ask her, sometime. Tell her why. And ask yourself what her forgotten years would be worth to us."

"Sounds like a good way to get punched"

A chuckle. "Maybe. Ok. Just the last part, then. What would her forgotten years be worth to us?"

"Look, I'm just glad you like the carton idea."

"You want me to switch priorities? PUt that project ahead?"

She thinks. "Symond, I'm not going to direct you on this. You know best where your energies should go. I like both products; the cartons seem a bit safer in a worst-case scenario, but......both are good ideas. Great."

"Kay. I'll see if I can get a bit of back up on carton one though. Not like I'm gonna make much money on so not like I mind sharing ,right?"

"Sometimes, Symond, it's not about the money. But, thank you."

"Sometimes it's about the glory" A grin

Symond knows Jessica well enough to know that glory isn't a consideration for her.... but she gets a small puff of amusement, a nod, and Jessica heads out to see if she can find Dame Ash.

Dame Ash takes only a little time to find. Sometimes it's like Ash knows when and where she is needed.

"Hello."

"How can I help you, Jessica?" She was told to use the famliiar when possible, and so far sshe does

"Advice. Let's patrol."

They gear up and head out.

She unstraps the peace tie on her sword and prepares to walk with

And then does so. As they patrol, she waits for Jess to start the talk.

"I have thought it would be good to have a representative at each hold, to deal with things and help decide what needs to come to me. Dame Mitra is at the Pitt and does a good job there as Regent. Do you think I need a liaison there as well?"

"Given Mitra's loyalty and friendship to you? I don't think so, unless she begins to feel over worked. The Regent is Eiluned, but I don't think she would betray you.. she might get clever, but that's not the same thing"

Jessica nods. "Who would you recommend as a liaison at the other Holdings?"

A low whistle, "Tidemarch is a challenge, isn't he? You need someone with awareness of intrigues, but above the temptation of them."

"And it's an Unseelie hold."

"Doesn't mean an Unseelie is the best choice for the task, but I can see why you'd want someone who can at least work with them." She ponders "How about Duff?"

"No." Firmly.

"Okay' She moves on "Diego is out, pardon but you did ask my view."

"agreed."

"Mmm Phobos loves his herald job a lot. He'd be happy to send messages or act on your behalf there, but not a regular thing"

She nods. "Some skill at the finer points of diplomacy, maybe, for a Sidhe Baron?"

"Perhaps. Nancy might do okay, she's getting better at pleading her case, and as a satyr they might underestimate her, but she's not ideal."
