A chuckle "Well, I think a statue for him sounds respectful and like you said, he'd love it." And he leans forward and kisses her gently

She sucks in a breath but doesn't jump off the couch; she kisses him back after a moment.

He enjoys it, then parts, "Now, what movie woudl you like to play next? Don't get me wrong, i want to kiss you... I want.. a lot of things, but I also want to just ..be with you. Sharing a moment ordinary."

"Um......." Jess seems at a bit of a loss. "I, um, I picked the last one. You pick. More water?" she gets up to refresh the drinks.

"Dodgeball" He decides. "I think Ricardo would approve"

"Ummm.... ok." From the kitchen.

"Bit crude, but funny"

"Yeah." Back out with more ice water.

"If you prefer another one?"

"No, no, Dodgeball would probably been my choice too. Honest." She sets the drinks down and then sits.

"Good." And the second movie starts.

Jessica settles in. She is more relaxed, it's not as 'weird.'

She's going to hear Duff laugh even louder on this one. If he were better at guilt, this would be a guilty pleasure

No real surprise that this suits him better. She chuckles at points. Looks pained at others.

There may be some Ocean Eyes Rolling.

And he might put an arm around her without thinking of it

She -might- lean into him without thinking of it.

They might even enjoy doing nothing..together

And eventually the movie is over.

"I liked parts of that."

"Only parts eh?" A smile though

"Only parts." She agrees without malice.

"What part did you like?"

"Um. Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, and ... Dodge."

"Yes."

"We should do this more often"

"Do .... what?"

"Nothing.. or that is, we should do things that ... you know, just.. waste time together?"

"Duff, I'm not going to have time to waste."

"Why not?" Curious "now and then, you run the fief. Maybe the new count or countess will take on some duties?"

"Yes. The new Countess will. Um. She's me."

"I'm.." He blinks "Sorry?"

A deep breath and she sits up. "I'm the new Countess. Summerstrike's lands, and Renaissance. Please .... don't say anything until the Duke makes it official but.... that's the plan."

"I... wow" Then "Jessica, how do you get into these situations?"

"I think it's a family affliction." Absolutely seriously.

"Does Siv know she's doomed to be a mayor or something?"

"Siv will likely be a Duchess." Dry.

"Sibling Rivalry is a cruel mistress"

Jessica shakes her head. "No, just... we seem to be going exponential. Dad is a knight, Mom is a Baroness, I'm .... supposed to be a Countess so....."

"That is... disturbing to think about "

"Why?"

"Because if you or your sister have a child, he or she is destined to be the next King or Queen if not HIGH King or Queen" Wry

Oh. Unexpected. "Um. Well. Um."
