"No one's told me much, about that, Duff. I mean, about Fenix, not your 'other means'." He can just about -see- her air quotes.

A chuckle huff on his end, perhaps he can, "Well good. Doesn't matter. Now, you want to veg in front of some movies or not?"

"Yeah. I do."

"Come on up."

"Be there in ten"

"Ok." After they hang up... well, she does go make an effort on her appearance. A little.

Well, she's tamed her hair at least.

In fact, instead the usual braid she puts it in a ponytail. Make up is not her style but.... she makes a few improvements to her outfit.

Huh.. yeah, casual good looking is ago.

And as she finishes, there is a knock on her door. Without, Duff, with a DVD player, some DVDs and microwavable popcorn

"Hey." She opens the door and stands to let him in. "Thanks for coming over."

"Thanks for letting me," He says, then notices, "You look nice"

"Thank you. Um. You, too."

"Gracious. I had my nails trimmed today" He moves past her. That limp... it is more noticable now that he's close. "I Have Dodgeball, Starship Troopers, Hairspray, Rocky, and Frightnight. WHich would you prefer?"

"Um." She hesitates, then goes into the kitchen as he starts setting up. A pause later, "Hairspray?"

He sets things up, "Okay."

"I, um, don't have much here. Got some groceries but.... can I get you a drink? I have.... water.....um. Coffee, tea.... I can make juice. Um. There's half a bottle of tequilla...."

"I'll have whatever you decide to have" Tinkering "There we go."

She joins him with 2 glasses of ice water.

Her coffee is still on the coffee table.

She sits, joining him on the couch.

"Ready to go," he takes the coffee, "Thanks." He positions himself so she can claim a shoulder if she wants... and the movie starts.

She sits next to him, but not cuddling.

He chuckles at parts...

And microwaves the popcorn in slow scenes then brings it to share

As the movie goes on she relaxes slowly.

He offers some of the popcorn, buttery goodness.

"Thanks." And she takes some.

"Welcome... okay, the fact that her mom is John Travolta is terrifying to me"

"He's -good- at it...."

"That's part of what's scary. But first time I saw this i had a nightmare where she ripped her face off and the extras skin, and then there was John Travolta with a skull head and the white suit and he starts dancing like in Saturday night fever"

She looks at him. "That is.... "

"...twisted."

"I know, but my brain went there" Munch

"All by itself." Sip.

a sip, "Scared to be on this couch with me now?"

Amusement in his eyes

"No." Quietly.

"Mmm" Sip "Good."

She turns back to the movie.

The move may have a very important message, but it's so light and fun loving that yeah, you don't have to think hard. Both relax and just enjoy vegging. Jesscia turns her brain off and forgets... about what she should do or must do or whatever...

right now, they're just there, watching a story about a girl who loves the music and wants everyone to dance along.

She relaxes. Slowly, but.... She does.

And while he chuckles at some parts and enjoys quietly, he doesn't talk much.

_ he usually doesnt...unless he has something to say_

The movie ends... Television enters a bold new age, young love ,a young dreamer triumphant.. and more

A soft smile on her lips."Thanks for bringing that."

"You're welcome," A slight smile too, "I figured something in that bag we'd both like. And it's a fun movie."

" I would not have pegged you for a man that watches musicals."
