'Dadadodatting... has shortened to 'dadoo', but Tweak remains 'Mama'. While some might think she's gotten 'mom brain', the point is some of the items she's creating are in high demand. Including the new play pen that will hunt down a kid, and yank them in during pre set times. Oh sure, Shuri gets resentful... but the point is for every mother claiming she'd never use such a device, there are 2 that openly want to buy it then and there, and a third that wants to buy it on the sly. Dross and money is going in. This could be an untapped market in the changeling world! Parental aids!

"Now, y'see...." she muses to Nec while the family has some breakfast "...I'm bettin' some peeps wanna find a way t'keep kidlet's glamour checked in so baby don' accidental-like eldricht-prime you into havin' a pool in th' living room...but without gettin' all banal about it. Like...like a parent-approved check box or somepin. I dunno, though...."

Nec nods "Web. My peeps did it first."

She blinks. "Web! Hey! Now there's somepin' t' think 'bout. Like...like...glamour bounce off it, mama gets a alert, an' she get the say if it stay or go."

"This approopriatin gonna make us bank?" He asks

"Might could." She's in deep thinking mode, the next bite of food paused just out of Shuri's reach as she ponders complexities.

"ah.." Shuri reaches.. not making it "AHHHH" She says louder

"Hey, I sell a brother out for benjis, you know " Nec nods

Tweak half-returns from thinking. "Ah, quit yer bitchin'," she says endearingly to her daughter as she hands over the morsel.

Then the thinking look returns again...and she frowns. "Fuck."

"Tell you mama thank you or I shoot your ass," Nec says to his daughter, but it's a light chiding tone

"tankumamanomnom" which appears to be close enough

Nec glances over at the frown "WHat? "

She glances at him, sidelong, then stabs another bite of food with the baby fork for Shuri when she's ready. "Nuthin'. Stupid."

"Hey, woman shuts up, feeds me... sounds like man time around here, no complaints" Prodding in his obnoxious way to get her talking. His kith has a gift.

A smirk, as she knows exactly what he's doing. "You a dick, Crawley, y'know?" She passes the food over to Shuri while talking. "Jus'...had a thought, make me sound like some sad ass goody-two-shoes. 'Bout how a thing like that web we talkin' 'bout? How it c'n be used bad."

"You worried a brother gonna do twelve years a slave?" Her man ain't as quick as she, but he's not dim

"You done did that a'ready. But...yeah. It got, like they say, potential for bad shit."

"Shit baby, that aint' soft, that's like... legal liablity insurance n crap. maybe you put some...age restriction tag?"

"Huh. Mebbe." She hands Shuri a spicy cracker to see what she thinks of it. "An' if I gets it in th' Bes Din, get my mark on that shit...they ain' gonna be able to make it diff'rent 'less I say so."

What happens there, Shuri bites down, makes a confused face, then removes it from her mouth, stares at it, then puts it back in and out over the course of the next thirty seconds trying to decide if she loves it or hates it.

"I the only one wanting to place bets?"

Tweak is not listening. Her body is here, but her mind is in the Forge.

Nec without saying a word, tends to his daughter, eating a spicy one himself to show her she might not like the taste, but she won't blame THEM for it.

Shuri, finding one excuse to throw a fit checkmated, decides she will eat the cracker.

After a few quiet moments, Tweak's up out of her chair, pinches Shuri's cheek gently and kisses her on the nose, gives Nec a far more resounding kiss on the lips, and she's gone to the Forge, stomping with urgent enthusiasm.

Nec returns the kiss, and fights the urge to try to divert that passion . It's not fair to his woman, and she gotta do what she do. Sides, it'll be amazing, then he looks over to Shuri "Now, next time you see mama, yo usay 'Mama is the shiznit'"

Jessica is feeling triumphant...

Mitra smiles "Okay... you're wanted in the study"

"I am? By who?" Although she rises and goes.

"one of your citizens" She says

And the study opens as Jessica goes in she looks about and ...

There's Duff.

There's a small table, two plates of fine food, and good wine. A candle.

Jessica rolls her eyes good naturedly.... the expression fades when she sees the orge. "Hi."

And then confused.

"Hello," Duff says "You... this is nice."

More confused, then a sigh. She looks behind her for Mitra.

The door is closed.

"Bonita, are you okay?"

Another sigh. "Duff, I didn't set this up. I apologize. I think they thought they were doing the right thing."

"Oh?" He says "So you did NOT want me here?"

"Not like that, Duff. Just saying I didn't set this up."

"Then have a seat, please." he opens the wine and pours

After a beat, she does.

He even slides her seat in once she takes it and kisses her on the cheek, "Congratulations."

"For what?"
