Jess just full-out blushes. "Yeah."

"So there's here, and the job." A small frown. "If they close the border, though...."

A chuckle "Sorry, honestly didn't mean anything lurid by it, though that's...good to have." Then the subject changes, "Are you going to try to work around that?"

She thinks, shakes her head slowly. "I don't... think so. Too risky."

"well, I know as a Liam's daughter you worry as much for the mortals as you do the changelings, but if there are any trolls among them, you know we DeBukes would help get them across, them and their nearest Kinian."

She nods. "No, just.... my job. I, um, I smuggle groceries. And if the close the border I could still get across with my passport but I promise you, the searches would be more strict and... well, not worth it."

"I could teach English, maybe."

"You want a Coke or something? Or we can head back. Like I said, it's not much."

"Well, if you want pumpkins by trod, I know a place" deadpan "And i think teaching English would be..." Clem's eyes notice something near her headboard, "What's this?" THIS by the by, is something Jessica thought she had tucked away more carefully. A poem by duff.

"Looks fancy hand written" She says

"Um, oh, that's just... it's... it's from Duff, ok?" She takes it and tucks it into a drawer.

Clem grins, "You realizee I am now ALL sorts of nosy?"

"And Coke would be fine"

She shrugs, leading the way to the efficiency living area and getting Cokes.

"He writes nice letters AND is a bad boy?" pressing just a bit. "is it poetry? is it erotic?"

"Clem!" Still blushing. "Yes, ok? I mean... " hastily ".... yes, he writes and it's private, ok?"

"Okay okay... I think zara had a bad influence on me, least wise that's who I'm going to blame for my curiosity "

Jessica takes a fortifying drink. "How is she?"

A drink "I barely see her. I'm busy one week, she's off doing something another. I know she and Earl are happy though she has her problems, some of which aren't mine to tell. She has a library all set up in earth runes. "

"I bet she loves that." Jessica grins. "Is that the place in Missouri? I mean, the other place?"

"Earth Runes, up. Sir August got her help...by which I mean she took over the library in all but name"

Jessica chuckles. "I can see that."

"Oh she's got this adorable little dragon chimera, a Bookwyrm"

"You know, depending on what you want to do while you're here.... Dame Mitra knows all the classy places, Duff knows all the seedy ones, Diego could show you the revolution-spots, and I bet I could get Tweak to show you the Co-Op."

"Mmmm You make it sound all so appealing. " A grin "Maybe I'll head to the local food district, see what's in demand."

Jessica chuckles. "Diego, or some of our boggans, if you want a tour guide."

"I might do just that, then, thanks, And yes, I will try to hit the beach JUST Once"

Jessica approves. "Hey, even -I- have done it once or twice."

"Want to come with? Feel less on the spot with company"

"Sure! Just let me know when."

"Probably tomorrow, but I can change it aroudn if you have plans"
