"It's ok, Demos. Easy."

Demos backs up eyes narrow but he holds

Sylvi doesn't hold the weapon aggressively, just across both palms. "One of the Nunnehi and I became friends, and she showed me where to find this treasure. It's the Hatchet of Bury the Hatchet. And I think it'll help you. I mustn't ever be used as a weapon or a regular tool, or all its power will go away...but if you bury it in the ground at a place where you meet your enemies, both sides will have to not fight, at least not for a while, and that gives you a chance to talk and negotiate and get to understand each other." A pause, and she offers it out to Jessica. "I think you might need this."

Constance raises a brow, and writes this down.

Jessica stands and approaches to take the weapon reverently. "Thank you." Sincerely. "It is my hope we can work something out with our local Nunnehi. You have done us a great service, Emissary Sylvi." Formally.

Siv squeezes her dad happily, but quietly, not wanting to ruin the formality until she's told it's okay.

Sylvi bites her lip, trying to remain formal, but really just very happy to have this job complete. "Well...good. And thank you. That wasn't easy to get," she half-laughs.

"You'll tell us the story, though, right??" Jess grins.

"Oh she has to" Siv says "right of demense and you, the holder wish it" Smirk

"Well, it's not like I'm going to -force- her."

"Awwww..." Siv says disappointed

Phobos muttters "I think I like your sister" A pause "Not in -that- way though"

"Easy there, Phobos." With a frown. Frank echos the expression.

"Umm...." She looks at the group. "I can tell you some of what I remember, but please don't tell Mom or Dad the bad parts? They'd freak over some of it."

"Sylvi...." Frank rumbles ".... if it's something they should know, we -should- tell them."

"Why? It's done, and I'm fine," she reasons.

"Because itsn't fair to Dika-Hannah when she does visit" Siv says"Nor your parents who showed you trust. that latter? Hear the voice of experience, I've sold mum and da short too many times and..it hurt them.." An apologetic look to her dad "And it hurt me. Truth is best this one I think"

Frank nods, and Jessica gives Siv a look.

"But..." Sylvi looks among all of them, then sighs. "Fine. It's...okay...the short form? The hatchet was under frozen water in the Near Dreaming, surrounded by dead bodies. I had to negotiate with both the bodies and the ice, and Dika-Hannah helped me be able to swim down far, and I got the Hatchet, but I didn't have quite enough air to get back to the surface, and I passed out in the water, and Dika-Hannah rescued me. There."

Frank blinks at her.

"You didn't tell your parents -which- part of that?"

"Wow..." Siv says "that's SO cool"

"The...um...passing out part. Well, and the dead bodies part. There was also this crazy talking walrus, and I did tell them that part."

"Yeah." Jessica sighs. "Wow, Sylvi...."
