Inside the cab , Thistle might be surprised to see an approaching Unicorn! Not yet full grown mind, but a REAL Unicorn

Thistle sticks her (still turquoise) head out the window. "Holy shit!"

Monobrow peeks against the car window, trying to peek at Thistle "Wowzers, Noínín! Noínín! You gotta see this! She's SPECIAL!"

"Didn't know I was pickin' up two. You should probably fit in the back?"

Noínín races out "We're supposed to CHECK first, Monobrow ... and she's just a nocker, no need to get all weird" Then the childling realizes that might be insulting to the Nocker "Uhm.. Hi. Are you the one sent to pick us up? I'm Noínín, this is Monobrow. Hes' not normally like this."

She flicks an assessing gaze over the childling. "Well, just this Nocker is your ride."

The clurichaun looks nine ish. His hair is blond to mortal eyes, but strawberry blond to fae. He's not really dressed for the weather. "Sorry about that. DIdn't mean to be a jerk or nothing" he tells her "Is this going to SIlverwolf?"

Monobrow seems more like a cat that had catnip and less like a majestic dream of freedom and purity and healing

at least in behavior

"You seem pretty well established, kid. But yeah." She gets out so she can open the back door for the unicorn.

The Unicorn's eyes seem to smile "You're just amazing, you know that?" Monobrow gets right in

Noínín nods "Oh yeah, I'm here for the job." he gets in

"Um."

Noínín does look worried at his Unicorn. "hes 'really not like this normally. I'm sorry. Heck , the last nocker we met tried to get his horn"

"She wouldn't do that, would you, you sparking wonderful person you?" Monobrow asks Thistle

"What? No. Pretty sure that's a crime."

"Ok, Niner, buckle up. "

"It should be" the boy says "Anyway, I'm here to apply for the job so thanks for the ride" He buckles his Unicorn up, then himself

"What job?"

He reaches into his voile and pulls out a tattered now years old slip of paper, a wanted thing...

Some of the words are now faded , as no one ever really showed up that quite made the cut

Noínín looks around "How fast does this go?"

"You wanna see?"

The boy's vivid green eyes seem to grow even more so "YEAH!"

At this, Monobrow seems to snap out of his haze "Hey now, speed limits are our friends"

"Boring friend" Noínín tells his friend, then says to Thistle "Punch it! Punch it! PLEAAZE?"

Definitely wanting her to hit the gas

Thistle does wait until they have a good stretch of empty highway.

She does not go full speed, but - enough.

Soon they're on the open road outside the town heading to the hold!

"NICE!" The boy grins , and makes driving motions with his hands. He IS still a childlilng after all, and a boy at that

Plus, there are rainbow leds in the backseat, and also tasseled fringe framing the rear windshield, and little bobbleheads...

"This is a cool car, I mean, it's like a rainbow had a really good meal" A beat "ANd maybe got a bit sick, but worth it!" The boy assures

"Oh, what's your name? I know it's not 'Just nocker'" Noínín asks

"Katrina, but fae I go by Thistle."

"Thistle? Cool" Noínín says

"HEY, you and she got something in common" Monobrow chimes in, not in the 'chime' way many Chimera do around Thistle, but still exuberant

The boy blushes "Nope. No we don't"

"Huh? What?"

"Noínín is Irish for DAISY, your'e both flowers!" Monobrow goes on. Normally he'd not spill this to a stranger but Thistle is just so.. . thistlely!

The boy blushes furiously

Snorts. "Well, if THAT ain't proof you're going to the right place. It's a frekkin' garden."

"You'll hafta convince the Baronage you're a good singer, mind. We don't really have a proper troubadour yet. Dee sings, but she's more mad for jousting."

"You guys joust? " The boy pulls out of his blush "Huh, wonder if they'd let Monobrow try. He's got a built in lance"

"I do," Monobrow says "But it is meant for gentle and kind things"

"You aren't supposed to tough the horse with the lance - not sure how having the mount BE the lance would work..."

"Me neither I... oh wow" His eyes light up as the freehold comes into view "That's where I'm gonna work? AWESOME"
