Jordan stared at Connor "Let me get this straight, you want to go to Hollywood, where the firess are.. and you want me to take you?"

"take US" Lily strains to be heard

"folks need protecting" Ylva says

"And help" cleo nods

"Well, -I- thought we would go find Keshan of Mighty Leaps first. Brogan SAID he was the hero who put out fires."

"Who?"

"Its from a game" Brogan says

"RIght" JOrdan sighs "Kids this is DANGEROUS... if the fire doesn't kill you the smoke might"

"It's NOT from a game." Connor argues, but then changes tact. "Or if it is, it means someone drumpt it up. Which means it's REAL."

"I just wanted to run a Tabletop RP game" Brogan says "But I am not about to let Lord Howlington face this alone"

"I may get on everyone's nerves, but I'll be darned if I don't have my fellow lodgemate's backs" Ylva states

“As long as it’s not anyone’s LAST nerve, it’s a-okay.” Connor reassures Ylva

"They're gonna kill me" Jordan says to himself more than anyone "They're going to... " A pause "If I don't help you, you're going to try on your own aren't you?"

"Plants are burning, Sir. " Jack Flap says "PLANTS!"

"Oh, and people" He adds

"We gotta go, we're shadowhoofs" Layne says

“Not just houses. HOMES.” Connor says.

Jordan sighs then resolves "Okay. Here's what we're going to do... remember the rite of ignorance, do not let mortals remember who you are, don't let them film you. We work the edges, you WILL be saving lives without having to be in the center of it. WHen I say it is time to leave, you follow me.. I know you want to do this as 'Team Childling' but I need to stick around you guys for the same reason you need to go, life matters. THIRD..fire is bad, smoke is terrible. We're going to find some gear to cover our mouths"

"I..I could keep the smoke out?" Cleo offers

"Pardon?" Jordan says

Cleo shrugs "I don't like dirty. I've been moving dirty all my life"

She says "I Have this cleaning treasure... it amplifies my ledgerdemain" The boggan holds up a sponge "I can move lots of dust, or clear out smoke I think?"

Jordan looks stunned "THat poor thing is about to get a work out. Still want to get you gear though."

"I thought we were going to the dreaming to find a hero who would just, like, WHOOSH, put the fires out." He gives Brogan an accusatory look. "You SAID he put out the winter fires of the West!"

"In my GAME" Brogan says

"Even better" Jordan says "Let's go find him..." He says "Look, there are heroes are in the dreaming. Help in the Dreaming. So, let's go... Finding the best fire fighters in the Dreaming"

"In your GAME. Which someone dreamed UP." Connor says slowly and clearly to Brogan to help him understand, and pats him on the back. "it's okay, it took me a while to figure out how the dreaming works too."

"Maybe we can find a fireman, who is a man made of fire, and they eat fire, and then all the fire will be eaten up and gone?"

Brogan says "Very well"

"Oh! Maybe the fireman will have a firedog!"

Connor claps his hands in delight.

"Can we go , sir?" Ylva says then winces "Unless you prefer to be Jordan"

"Jordan's good. LEt's get moving" He nods "And find a firefighter to help"

"Jordan isn't a Knight, you can call him Jordan. Or Jordy. Or Jordy-pordy, but if you do, he might not help us."

"Got that right" Jordan says

"You're the BEST Jordan, Centaur power!" Layne says happily

He rolls his eyes, but says "Any of you want on my back for this? I can carry two"

Connor looks over the crew critically.

"I have my own strong paws. And Jack is the quickest thing on two hoofs. Hmmm. Cleo?"

"I'll go" She says "Can I spray this sanitizer on your back?" She asks Jordan

"And Lily. As long as you two don't fight." He waggles a finger at them both.

Lily says "I never fight, Connor"

He gives her a grin. "I know. You only win."

His tail wags

Lily beams at Connor at that "Such a smart boy and a gent"

A spritzing is tolerated, and soon both the boggan and sluagh are lifted up and on the back of Jordon

Ylva draws her axe, "Ready"

Jack Stamps his hooves "Ready"

"Aye aye!"
