Meanwhile Jonas soon has the campfire set up complete with camp stove

Soon a fine meal is going.

The twins nap for a while, and wake up needing a change before dinner. Brekke helps Siv take care of all that, and then they rejoin the male contingent at the cook fire.

There is a pleasant meal, Siv does most of the talking, but not all, and she is happy to give opinions if asked , but also listens to what plans they share about the house.

The elders are, as usual, relatively quiet, but not awkwardly so. There's an ease in Brekke's demeanor that Siv hasn't seen often.

Siv notices this, and comments on it "Retirement seems to be good for you, mor." A smile "Haven't seen you this at ease in a while."

"Hm." Quiet amusement. "It is...different. For now, there is much to focus on with making our new home. Making progress in it is satisfying."

"And you'll make it the way you and Da want. " She nods and says "I am glad. I miss you both, but the wonders of the dreaming mean distance isn't always. Now, you sure you two want to watch the grandkids tonight , because Jonas and I will totally take advanage of you there"

"I am sure," Brekke says, and she looks to Frank, who ((presumably)) nods assent.

(Let's say he does)

Siv says "In that case, we shall take advantage of your kindness. " She rises, and kisses each twin, "Rock Valr on leg long enough he'll get drowsy sometimes. Franki loves stories, particularly in a deeper voice tone."

"I think we can manage. Yes, children?"

"Bemo" Franki gushes

"YUP" Valr adds

Jonas arches brows ("Amazing") then says "Thank you, mother. father."

"Our pleasure. The Baron knows to expect you. We might escort you, but I think the children have already had a long day."

"Agreed" Siv smiles "We know the way" She gives a wistful look at the children, worried just a bit, but also happy for them. And she and Jonas depart, as the kids are spoiled rotten.
