Dagmar is sought out... by a Thane of the Count

Dagmar is easy to find.

She may not be used to thanes bowing but he does "Dame Hammerstrike? I bear news ,regarding a balor who must make apologies to you. He BEGS you to let him apologize. Seems quite desperate. Something about the cold and the voices. We checked for Bedlam, no sign."

She raises an eyebrow.

"He knows I am a Gwydion, right?"

"One imagines even an idiot would" The Thane nods , but it is clear he is not going to say the Balor is NOT an idiot "Will you let him apologize to you? "

"I think he should consider the sincerity of it before he tries."

"I will inform him. " the thane looks ready to turn, then stops and looks back "Dame Dagmar. You were not, I am told, aware of the situation as you were preparing in your tent. But I can tell you the Count was outraged that this happened under his hospitality and to a fellow House Sister. You also have a right to demand restitution. Some has been made to Rivervale, but not you. If you wish him punished further, the Count is ready to heed YOUR wish in this. I should not say, but I suspect he half way expects you to demand a duel and make your displeasure known upon the Balor's body. But he can just as easily simply be banished from the County and may yet be anyway"

She frowns.

"I think that he should understand that anything less than a true apology would be an insult. A word of apology, born from fear or convenience - I would hear the lie of it."

"That's why I think it's important he is clear, before he decides to make this gesture."

A nod "He IS afraid. Anyone can see that. He... seems to be terrified of NOT apologizing to you. It's odd."

"If he fears the consequences of not apologizing, all the more important he do so in truth."

The thane bows "I will make sure he understands"

And withdraws

And Dagmar, well, she gave her warning!
