As they move about, trying to measure the lay of the land , with their eyes, they spot a chimera...

A Meowl chimera, snowy Meowl version!

Brekke stops in her tracks and tilts her chin to indicate the chimera, in case Frank hasn't seen it.

It appears to be observing them, then sometimes scanning the ground, likely for rodents!

Helpful neighbor, Brekke hums quietly.

Watching the Meowl hunt is... interesting. It waggles its tail feathers , then swoops silently to grab a rodent, and carry it to a tree to eat high and pleased with itself.

A nod of approval. "Eat heartily," she murmurs.

Frank notes Brekke stopping, and freezes as well; her attention draws his, and he watches.

"Mmm." approval.

The Meowl does just that. The thing maybe adorable, but clearly it is a predator.

And a good one at that.

Footsteps, the baron returns. He has the manners to call out "Hope all is going well?"

"Mm. Very well." A nod of approval. "Baron, your barony houses skilled builders, yes?"

"Sure do, trolls and boggans mostly... one nocker, but she tends to get kind of fancy"

(Pause)
