"WELL...." Siv frees her arms long enough to put her hands in the air "it was four hours of panic"

"A SILLY goose."

"No it was not," Jonas hurumpsh "You said it yourself, you had been MISSING us. It had been weeks. The panic was four hours, the loneliness was longer. You were missing us, you felt deserted for a while, and it was making you miserable. The stomach bug and pregnancy scare sounds like it was merely the final straw on you at the time"

"Yeah! What he said!"

At THAT Siv winces "Well, I've been gone before, left on trips at sea, or spying, and you guys never complained. Hypocritical for me to fuss"

Jonas looks at Piper "She thinks you never complained about her being gone." Wryly "And she thinks I never moped. This is.. oddly adorable in its cluelessness"

"It's not a fuss. It feels good to know we're missed, too, you know."

A smile to Jonas.

"You did?" Siv blinks at Jonas "It does?" Siv asks Piper

"Just because I can't blow up your phone when YOU are out in the dreaming or on a spy mission, doesn't mean I don't WANT to...."

"Aw, man." She suddenly says, with a frown.

"What?" Siv asks

Pulling her tank top up a little, she bares a bit of still-trim tummy, with a gleaming chimerical pearl on a bellybutton ring. "I'm going to have to take this out, aren't I?"

"Ooo. aye, probably. Sorry, Love. We could put it on a thin necklace chain or bracelet?"

"And we need to find you a regular doctor for this" Jonas realizes "I'm sure Hearth Kerri could suggest one"

Nose wrinkle. "Must I?"

"The bellybutton ring removal ? Aye" Siv says "Someone to help us with your delivery medically? Aye. Though .. I suppose we could ask for a DeBuke Midwife. "

"Your ma didn't have a muggle doc."

"My ma had me in the Dreaming" Siv reminds "And because of that, I'm as vulnerable as an arcacian to banality and such. I don't want our child to be hindered in interacting with mortals same as I am" The troll points out

Then, a thought, looking from Siv to Jonas. "...how big WERE you when you were born?"

"Oh I've always been small for a troll blooded one" Siv says "So I think less than 10 pounds?" She says "Obviously I don't remember. Don't know if MOTHER remembered"

She looks strained. "And, midwife? Does that mean, like, they don't have the good pain meds and stuff?" Rapidly changing her mind.

"There might be some controlled herbs, but other than that, probably natural child birth" Jonas says. "Only 7.5 Percent of mortal children are born with a high birth weight. " A consideration "I think for troll kinian it's more like a coin toss"

"Ah, but the babe shall also have satyr blood. Might tamper the size back to regular" Siv nods

"But two Troll to one Satyr... and some pooka on my dad's side, so who knows?"

"Who knows" Siv says "And whether the child is kinian, kithain or plain ole son or daughter of adam/eve, we'll love the child fierce"

Jonas ponders "As far as Pain goes, there IS another advantage we have as Changelings. The right use of chicanery might help tamp down pain"

"That's true. The arts give options" Siv says to comfort Piper

"Hrrrrpmh."

"We have time to sort over what you think is best for you" Siv assures

Dryly. "Is it too late for Siv to carry?"

"Oh gosh darn it," Siv says in a faux chipper voice "I seemed to have missed out on that chance."

At this, Jonas arches a brow. So many things he could say right now. No. He's a good boy. He'll behave.

Piper swings her legs up over Siv's lap. "Then, you'll just have to carry me."

"Now that I can do" Siv nods "And gladly. " A thought "Mother brought up something at the meal. Did we have an idea for names?"

Shake of her head. "Not the first clue!"

"I admit, names sound like a fun part of it" Siv admits "But I've no idea where to start"

And Jonas has gone quiet

Piper looks over at Jonas. "Id ask about family names... but I know that's a sore spot."

"Oh Jonas, sorry, is this going to be.. trouble for ye?"

"No no.. it's just" Jonas observes "When your mother mentioend what she was talking about names, Siv. One of the reasons I thought it might be something else is. I had already thought about names"

Then he adds "I have a system started"

"A... system?"

He rises and gets a pad of paper, several sheets yet to be torn free. And...he hands it over "Third sheet is where it starts" He says

"Wait, this is what you were doodling on the other ngiht? " Siv asks remembering him being up a bit more than they

Jonas nods.

It starts on sheet three, but actually is no less than FIVE pages!

Piper can see the first paper is boys and girls names by family and friends... variations... such as Francine to honor Frank, Brock to honor Brekke has been scratched out. PIper's mother's names are there too as possiblitieies , variations at least.

It's relatively short but still lots of takes on it
