"How long have you been travelling? We aren't that far from Canada..."

She gets answers... and questions, translated they come out like this:

"We've been traveling for days, for some of us feels closer to over a week"

"In their truck, there's some food. And water, can we get that , please?"

"What do we do with them?"

"I have family in America, can I call them?"

"Yeah, go get the food. There's a stream not far for more water."

"We'll get them to the road, tie'm up and call the police for them."

"Once we have a plan to keep us safe."

THey settle, too grateful , and with cords cut they seem to believe this is happening

But one old lady says something...

Now that she's thinking of it, she takes some of the discarded bonds from the former prisoners and used them to tie up the pair's wrists and ankles.

"Oh yes, the child in the truck" The translator says

"Child?"

"Si," The old woman sounds distressed " El único. Una orden especial, dijeron."

"The only child, yes. " The woman translates "A special order, they said"

A flicker of anger on the teenager's face.

"Yeah, glad I was here." She spits on the men, glaring.

"Get the child. I... I will call help. I know good people."

She frowns at the phone - without her phone, she knows what to do.

This was not the plan, but, well - duty calls.

Dialing and talking, but keeping an eye on the folks.

They're taking some time getting that child

Frown, and she looks at her translator. "Do I need to go get the kid?"

There are about twelve total

The translator says "Maybe i.. something odd"

Dagmar stands, to head towards the truck.

And she finds a half circle of the former prisoners near the back of the truck, unable to approach

or unwilling

"Que está mal?"

"We just feel like we should... leave him alone" the girl shrugs

Dagmar bullishly heads closer.

She hears a growling sound coming from the truck. Though, the other former captives don't seem to hear it.

"Calmado. Soy amiga."

The growling takes on a higher pitch!

"Calmado."

"Amiga."

"Sino ito?" Comes the reply. It sounds similar to Spanish, but she doesn't recognize the words.

"I.. don't know that word. Soy amiga."

"Los hombres malos están dormidos."

The growling continues, quieter, an undertone to the young voice, younger even then Connor, and wary. "Ingles? Hindi ako nagsasalita ng Espanyol..." A pause. "Who is it?"

"I speak English. I'm American."

"Do you understand English? I don't speak Hindi..."

A pause, confused. "Filipino ako!" A little indignant. "Yes. English."
"Grawl!" Says the growly... voice?

"I'm Sam. I'm a friend. I am getting help."

"The bad men are asleep, and I took their guns away."

A step closer, attempting to peer inside. Her fae mien, of course, towers several feet over the mortals.

Shuffling, and soon a small, dirty Filipino boy has moved to the cab, and peers out at her. YOUNG, and with a wariness that a child shouldn't have in his gaze.

Though at over six foot, her mortal form is no slouch.

The small monster in his arms, a chimera, bares rows of teeth in defense! Dagmar feels an urge to leave the boy alone...
