"Oh Abner, youre right as always"

Abner, meanwhile, is driving away "Where to, Cecily?"

"I need to stop at the dollar general"

He glances at her; Really?

A nod "the one near that hard ware store what got burned"

"Mm." a sigh, as if it's an annoyance, but he turns the wheels in that direction.

They stop, and off they go to the Dollar General, and park quickly. Cecily slips out... and the Eshu girl holds up a finger to Abner makes a 'shhh' motion, and follows

The troll girl in the back glances over at Abner with a curious look but keeps quiet as she stays in the back of the RV, clutching a little viking doll

OOC was there anything I missed that indicates Callidora wants the eshu girl to follow/come with her to the Dollar General or outside the RV?

OOC: Mmm to be fair, she DID leave the door open a crack as if by accident

OOC: So likely, CC wants it 😉

Abner swallows down the bellow he was about to vent, and says nothing. He does drum his fingers on the steering wheel.

And Cecily returns with another childling instead...a purely human one

She can read the look on his face. Oh by Hob's Gifted Bloomers.....

Cecily lets a smile 'slip' just a moment, and then reigns it in and puts her bag down "Oh Abner, I found some of those snacks you like" she offers up to him a hostess cupcake confection. He can, of course, make far better himself by hand. that said, they're in character

The new girl comes in looking surly and embarrassed

"Where to now, Cecily?" he asks with an arched eyebrow... SUCH an eyebrow....

"Oh I was thinking this town wasn't for us" She squeezed his hand and looked at him, "Could be in for a long trip"

"Mm." and they hit that long road, leaving behind them, hopefully, chaos. He glances a question at her May Maude?

CC glances over at the human girl, then back at him, and smiles. wiggling her fingers.

As if to say 'look again'

A very faint smile on his lips; he does not look, but nods slightly. He understands.

The 'girls' in the back are quiet, and much distance is crossed before the spell on May Maude fades and a Kinain woman looks relieved, "Do you have any idea how demoralizing that is?"

"More so or less so than prison?" he asks.

Then he clears his throat. "Let us discuss this event after our next stop to take on supplies and disembark passengers, hm?"

The troll girl is staring at the now grown woman with fascination. She glances over at 'Abner' with a brow arch beyond her years. Oh she's bright. Piecing things together.

"Point about Prison" May Maude rolls her head to unkink her neck "And yes, later if you like. " A glance to the childling , she has questions

He shoots Callidora a dour look.

CC looks at him and whispers "You said 'one'"

"Mm."

Somewhere, he is sure, two Eshu, mother and daughter, are rejoined and getting the hell out on their own. Fortunately, they're not his or CC's problem

The troll girl speaks up, "Disembark means you're going to abandon me at the next stop? Doesn't it?"

Abner let's Cecily field this one.

"We have a few ideas, dear" SHe says.

"Speaking of which, where am I driving us?" he murmurs to Cecily.

"Contemplating between Iowa, or New Jersey" is she joking?

"Mm. My contact for this is in Colorado." he points out "We might be able to arrange a halfway point meeting?"

She glances back at the troll girl, then whispers "We could take her to our place. I assume that's an abuse of 'we can take one'?"

"It is. Although...." reluctantly "... Kansas City -is- close to halfway."

a pause "Firnost?" She whispers "If you prefer?"

"Mm. As quiet as it is there these days, she'd hardly be noticed." he allows.

"Assuming she has the good sense to stay in her room and remain quiet."

"You have explained matters to her sufficiently?"

"Not as sufficiently as I'd like" She admits

"Perhaps you should have a word, then."

A nod, and she goes to the back of the RV to talk

May Maude moves forward to talk to him quietly "thanks for showing up"

"You are welcome, of course."
