Just HOW Symon and Dagmar ended up in a boat they're not sure... Dagmar has paddles in her hands and they're now rowing through a strange site... rooftops of second story houses now islands of roof, some have people on top

And in the waters, a shark fin... chimerical, and waiting

Symon looks throughout the boat, checking for any gear or supplies on hand.

Life preservers, a long staff with a gaft hook kind of attachment that can be taken off. Flare gun. Some munchies. Fresh water. Compass. A walkie talkie

He takes mental inventory and checks that everything is secured vs. wind or rough waters. "See that fin?" He whispers to Dagmar.

"Yeah. Could be bad, chimerical likely worse than a real one..."

"At least it can't bother any mortals. A real shark bites both."

"Then again, real sharks are smart enough not to swim for a meal through a hurricane. This thing looks...opportunistic."

(Perception plus kenning when you get a chance)

Something swims in the water towars them, it too has glamour but is also flesh and blood? And the shark is going after IT

Symon leans over the edge of the boat, kenning/searching with his vision, trying to see what swims. An animal?

One wouldn't think a manatee could move that quickly

“Dagmar!” He points, and has a hand tightening on the spear with gaff, ready to hand it over.

Of course, she does notice it first.

She takes the spear. "Yeet."

The manatee sees the spear/gaff and Dagmar swears she can hear it GULP because it might wonder just WHO is the target! The shark closes... thanks to Jaws movies, a lot of chimerical sharks look like great whites

And then, Dagmar YEETS! The gaff hook spear hits the shark skin as if it were TIN FOIL, powered by pure Jersey tude and troll muscle! The Chimerical shark goes nuts, thrashing and pulling...

(Strenght check for Dagmar)

Symon dips a hand in the water and gestures to the Manatee - go!

Towards the Shark, he hisses, "Haul it in and we'll make Hakarl of it's flesh!"

The shark is impaled and ..well back peddles? Thrashing...and it hauls Dagmar out instead! Into the water she goes, hands still on the rope unless she wants to let go

Symon quickly lashes his end of the rope onto the boat, and pulls a knot tight!

He is smart enough to NOT hold on and get pulled in.

The water is deep, two story homes have their roofs sticking out the top like islands after all

Dagmar holds on to the line, but kicks furiously to try and stay above water.

Symon picks up Flyswatter - the unexpected length and heft sets him off balance... and jabs inexpertly at the shark if is comes close. He can't actually hurt it, probably... but he is just trying to warn it away.

He doesn't bother to try to talk, a whisper would be lost over the splashing!

She isn't trying to haul in the shark - she's trying to follow the line back to the boat.

The Manatee slaps its finds to the tune of "i am the walrus' and suddenly, Dagmar finds herself hopscotched backwards back onto the boat, the shark being dragged with her, Symon DOES stab it with Flyswatter... a weak stab, kind of a poke, but Flyswatter is sharp and cuts anyway

Symon had thought it ran..err swam off like he advised, apparently not

Annoying little pricks - much like himself, he is sure some would say.

(Somewhere Dirk laughs)

Dagmar sputters, and holds out a hand for her halberd.

"It will weigh you down!"

He offers, instead, a hand - his other arm wrapped tight around whatever he can hold onto, hoping he can at least steady her to pull herself up.

Well there is still the matter of the shark thrashing against their boat

And then she is Hopscotched up, because he was behind in paying attention, and Symon shoves the Halberd into Dagmar's hand.

Dagmar uses Flyswatter to hack the shark free.

The shark bleeding and dying thrashes some more but the boat hlds steady thanks to the help of a manatee. Finally the shark flops dramatically and it's corpse floats to the top of the water

The manatee flops in, and changes into a person

"UM!"
