Zara winces, swallowing a whimper of regret in her throat.

She rests a hand briefly on the Sister. "Barukh atah Adonai Eloheinu melekh ha'olam, dayan ha-emet."

To her surprise, the lab coat guy says the same even as he is working on ripping out some wiring from a wall

Zara looks for a hiding place, to focus.

Dinah has moves to help Dash, calling on maid mother and crone and her brother seems to gain strength

Ah, an alcove off the main hall!

Zara slips into cover.

And there , Nestled in she can see the fight unfolding... the vampires have the advantage.

Her sharpie is out again, nesting glyphs and squares and circles in a pattern on the floor.

The dead Chorister may have recognized it, or perhaps a Nocker would recognize a passing similarity to Gemetria. Kabbalistic seals and sigils, building a cantrip to affect not just one vampire, but all of them.

One has already been hexed, and may well face a double blow when the new casting is finished...

The man in the labcoat keeps working on the wiring...

Blood rips out of Dash, just flows from him and he screams

For all of Zara's studies, her magic - while powerful - is indirect. But fate is now arrayed against their foes.

As SUNLIGHT is created by the device or is it merely an apperture in space? It cascades along the patterns Zara has made and fills the room, possibly causing Zara to hiss at the bright

but the vampires burn!

Oh, she does hiss and wince and shield her face. She is a creature of shadows and darkness - but though it hurts her eyes, she does not burn.

And the vampire who she first cursed screams loudest and burns the most painfully

It is done, but too late. Zara scuttles further back, hiding herself. Dash has Dinah, but these are all strangers to Zara.

The scientist looking moves back to Hope "They shot her brains out, those frickin nazis, those schmucks. They took one of our Mishpocheh"

The tiger tatoo man says "Yes. They did.'

Dinah is crying in her brother's arms

The wyrd may fade, so Zara retreats further, squirming away, away, out of sight. She could flee, perhaps, but her curiosity compels her to stay and see the fallout.

The fall out is the group gathering up the body of their fallen gently even as they ask questions. Dinah explains "my brother is.. a wyld ne. As you saw. Please, don't tell anyone"

"He saved us. " the tiger fellow says "We will not betray his secrets"

Dash seems to be okay? Shot, yes, but tended?

His sister seems to have worked some healing maics on him. Fascinating... drawing on old celtic rites and modern wiccan redes. A Witch to be sure

She appreciates Dinah's talent. But for all her kith's association with death, Zara is twisted with remorse - she had thought hexing the vampire would have caused him to fumble, but, clearly, she chose poorly. The Sister's death sits in her stomach like a lead weight.

a voice whispers to her "Stop that, lady of the wild shadows. And grieve not for me"

A ghost?

"I could not help thee." She looks for the ghost.

Sister Hope is brighter than any ghost she's seen, untethered by chains of earthly links perhaps?

Zara squints again.

The ghost dims, or rather, the light is gentler "You helped my friends. You saved them from damnation as Vampires, you kept their souls alight. Did you think i did not pray to the Great Singer who brought us all forth? What did you think I prayed for? Myself? Ha. I know what i am a part of, where I am going. This is not an ending for me. It is but a door to a loving judgement "

"I..." She frowns. Searching, and pushing past that tangle of guilt and grief for this stranger. For her failure. "I wish for you a great adventure, the next unknown."

"I prayed someone would save my friends. Someone did. Shalom, Gentle Shadow."

"Shalom, Achoti."

And there's the most beautiful soft music and then.. the ghost is gone

"The lady who helped me find you she helps find lost sisters. i paid her cash" Dash is explaining

Of course he is.

But... she was paid, so the order is maintained.

"I wish she was still here, whatever she did, it amplified my solar amplification spot a giggifold" The guy in the lab coat says 'She like you, Dash?"

Dash blinks muses it over "Nah. i ain't big on books"

Zara decides that Dash may be dim, but he's alright.

Confusion among the mages, including Dinah, but she does say "Well, wheover she is, please tell her we said thanks?"

"Oh.. uh sure" He says, but looks a bit put upon "But I don't think she wants me making a fuss about it"

Yes, definitely alright.
