Zara does, indeed, feed and water the Cat before doing other maintenance.

Not a bad little apartment, touches of witchery lifestyle here and there

And the cat feeds on the tunna, savors it acts like one MIGHT Reject it, then dives in

While Zara is not precisely owned by a Cat, she does know their ways. Curiosity seems more attached to Earl or August, but has trained Zara well enough. Bronte and the spiders are often jealous of her attentions.

The interior has a rolling top desk , two book shelves, one short and one tall. A sofa for comfort and a wooden rocking chair. Alas, no wing back

She checks through the desk.

Zara finds signs of esoteric notes, occult doodles... signs that once there were letters stored here but they don't appear to be here anymore. Ah, save one, nearly fell in a crack of the desk

were she human, the inctricate weaving magic of deception would throw Zara off, this working is akin to chicanery. However, Sluagh are not easily fooled! Still, it is enough like a mix of chicanery and naming, this working that it appeals in and of itself. Could she similarly disguise what she has written by mixing the two? Mmm ah, but the truth of it is seen

"Mm."

Zara searches and retrieves a wine glass from one of the cupboards.

She finds one, of course. looks like it's not used oft . There's a bit of dust on that part of the cupboard

Dust to be left, for the bunnies.

The sluagh sets the letter on the coffee table, and carefully places the glass on top of it, bowl down.

With her impromptu scrying ball in place, she lights a single candle before dimming the other lights.

"I've got high hopes, I've got hi-igh hopes, I've got high apple pie in the sky hopes..." She half-sings in her broken whisper.

And she breaks through, finding the woman she seeks like the spell were a moth to the target's flame. Pretty lass, bound and gagged and not alone in that

Around the 4 bound and gagged people are six who are not. It is obvious they are not of the Cabal, but rather a cabal of some sort of their own

Zara studies the four bound - Dinah, and the others, as well as their captors. Faces to learn, perhaps indicators of allegience.

She knows one of the four is Sister Hope, a pretty blonde thing with blue eyes. She has a modest blouse that looks to have been a bit torn. There's a mark on her neck as if something was ripped off. There is Dinah, of course, the redhead, and one can believe she is redcap kin for more than that, the tattoo sleeve of the world tree up one arm. THe other two are harder to see from this angle, but one bare chested man has a tiger tattoo on his chest and appears to be of East Asian descent. The other is a shorter less physically impressive fellow, wearing rather plain clothes save for a lab coat.

The nockerish ones, perhaps. Her willworker lore is sketchy, but she has met a few members of the Traditions before...

She has, and she knows that the Hidden Ones, aka the Technocracy, are a threat to any who do not fit their narrow view. Yet the ltter spoke of other interested parties, and she sees the six about the four are who was warned of

"That one has true faith" One of the unbound rubs at her hand furiously, "She'll be of no use to the pyramid"

These look more like occultists than Technocrats...

Indeed, the signets they wield , rings and amulets mostly appear hermetic.
