Coradel has not intent savoring it...but she wants to see if Victor is in any way freed by the destruction.

but Victor drops to his knees, tears flow down hihs face, and he.. passes out from some sort of shock!

She looks to August. "Now we know. Seek her out, or release them all first?"

A voice calls out "Intruders, intruders! the goddess says to kill all intruders!"

It would appear ripping the book sounded some sort of alarm

August watches Coradel act with fierce pride. "Well done." He says before the alarm sounds, about the destruction of a book.

Then his head comes up at the voice, and he takes the book back. "Lead them a chase?" he suggests.

OOC Is there a fire burning anywhere they've seen?

A laughing smile of agreement, and she joins him in a run!

(tthey passed by a parlor with a burning fire place)

"The fire! If her pets are all released, no one to chase us."

The 'cult members' chase after them, and are not trainned warrors. Two healthy wilders can stay ahed

Of course the stakes are high, but...this is fun.

the gun wielding SECURITY guys are a bi more dangeous, not that scares the Fiona

August zigs instead of zagging with Coradel and diverts to the fireplace.

He will tear pages out of the book and burn them until stopped.....

Coradel releases him to do so, creating a diversionary target!

the two split, Coradel actually charges a gunman with weapon pointed at her, then as it fires, she drops to slide under the shot and past him, getting nothing worse than rugburn before she springs up... and keeps the chase going

And August? He weaves past anoher, and throws it into the flame!

For good measure, she swats the gunman on the ass as she regains her footing.

There is an explosion of glamour... Love! , then loss! joy of companionship, of being WITH, then the terrible tearing

OOC Well, I'd thought he' tear pages out to destroy them that way, THEN burn them, because one can't be too careful and he needs to save one page for someone to eat, but I suppose it depends on the moment.

OOC Obvs, if Coradel is in danger.....

August threw so hard, that it tore pages , a few, which he collects... he'll need those

but the effect is the same

All around, men fall , tears flowing as they pass out.. only a few stand up, crying out in shame and guilt for the wives they left behind

It's painful and hard and awful...but necessary.

Coradel checks to see whether she's still being targetted.

August watches the book burn for a moment, ensuring it has caught, and then grabs the nearest former-pet. "WHERE IS SHE??" he asks about the one that hurt them so badly.

A guard who was about to shoot SOMEONE has the strength of will to say between sobs "She.. she was in the dungeon..."

Coradel puts a hand on the guard's shoulder as she calls out to any who can stand, "Then, for the sake of the loves betrayed, lead us to her that you may have your vengeance!"

"NOW!" he orders.

And he, and another non guard, nod and go down into the dungeon leading our heroes! And it is a good thing!

for below there is Temeritty fighting not one but two Ogre Thallian, while Ivory faces a female sidhe with a slender blade in her hand, the goddess or so she calls herself

Coradel stops and flickers her bow into her hand, firing quickly and aiming for the Thallains' eyes.

The security guard raises his gun and shoots the same ogre "I want my Ellen back you bitch!" Vengeance indeed

One ogre drops hit by arrrow and bullet! temerity calls out "Come, Baron, we shall share the same Ogre steak! "

August takes one look and joins battle alongside Ivory.

But August rushes for the real goal, the sidhe! And his sword flickers o life speeding his journey

"You are out numbered and outmatched! Stand down and surrender!!"

"More for me then!" Temerity fights her ogre

Coradel switches from bow to blade and joins Temerity!

August slashes the woman from the flank, Ivory from the other side.. and she gaspss "I yield, I yield!"

Coradel feels no need to allow a thallain to surrender just because its mistress has. She fights to kill.

And down go both ogres!
