Someone mangles a song, badly, and goes "Ah, whoa whoa.." The crowd rushes him, and laughing, puts him into the huge cauldron hinged to the outside of the wall. At one time it probably dropped burning oil... now , it is filled with.. foam? Then... they yell "To the Lake!"

THe guy gives a goofy yell... and hits the lake, leaving a soap bubble there, which he swims out of laughing below

A whoop of laughter as the song mangler is dumped!

While folks are distracted two pooka get up, lights flare around ala cantrips, and they start up Abba's 'Dancing Queen' begins

Piper dances along - as long as it has rhythm and a beat, she'll move to it.

The pooka get their song finshed.. and then must flee for their dryness. The fact that the faster satyrs don't catch them shows they weren't really trying to dunk them... but the music shifts back as someone does a modern mix of Numb ala Linkin Park

As she dances, she takes the opportunity to just relax. Not worried about what anyone thinks or does, what happened earlier, what tomorrow holds, just herself and the music.

It goes on for some time, some get drunk off thier asses, some just dance, a few chill after a bit... doing a bit of both, and some couples break off...

She does take advantage of the drinks, having a few but not so much that she gets sloppy passed out drunk... just pleasantly buzzed, maybe a bit wobbly. Another song or two offered until she realizes that she may slur a bit - can't have THAT happen, and she settles back away from the limelight to just enjoy the energy of the crowd.

Spike flirts with her a bit, "Tired already?"

“It’s been a while since I've cut loose dancing like that. Most get together I've been to recently, well. A bit low key, or I'm more on stage as entertainment. God, I’ve missed it though.” A touch wistful.

"Shit babe, I don't know how you got here but your'e welcome to join in..." Spike looks over "Hey, JJJ, were you keeping her to yourself or did she just come in?"

"Piper just came in" JJJ grins "And you were pretty worn out YOUR first night here too, Spike"

Spike good naturedly, grabs a nacho from the food supply and flings it at JJJ

Piper laughs and helps herself to some nachos, with a compliment to the rotund nacho aficionado.

“Was this a special occasion, or do you rock out like this every night?”

"Oh man," The big guy grins "Wish we could but it's really more like a weekly thing, sometimes it just.. happens though"

"Just happens if the best kind of happen" Spike asserts

JJJ chuckles "Sam would mOLT if we did it every night. Nah, we jam some sure, got our own things... but big blow outs like this? Weekly"

"He seems pretty easy going for a legal-eagle. How do you keep the local hoity-toity constabulary out of your business?"

"Sam, that fucker's powerful" Spike says "he's a sorcerer, mastered at least two arts, maybe more"

"No shit?" She reassesses her view of pooka. I wonder what skills Rikki might be hiding.

"Have you ever had anyone come in and try to break things up? The Fun Police?"

"Besides Sheriff Sam himself? " A grin from JJJ "Yeah."

"What did you do? Scatter and run? Flicker flash? Stand tall and know they can't get all of you?"

Spike looks over "Well, again, Sam tends to deal with threats... but we're not all weak you know? If we have to, we hit and run.. though the Pooka one LSDed a Redcap corby that tried to brute force and take over"

"I didn't mean to say you were." A bit of pink to her flushed cheeks. "I just... personally, I'm no fighter. So I was curious how you held out, especially when I could see people coming after some of the folks who choose to come here for Haven."

JJJ says "oh... yeah I see why you'd be curious. First, we don't advertise a lot. I mean, we had a troll girl land here last year and almost panicked when we found out she knew a Gwydion baroness. But she was cool, told folks she wouldn't tell any nobles about this place unless they asked directly..."

The big satyr munches a nacho and agrees, "Gerd's tight. Comes here now and then"

"Yeaaaaaaah...." She hides a bit of a grin. "I know Gerd. She dropped me here. Lucky I wasn't dropped IN the lake, but I haven't done anything to get on her bright side that I know of."

"Ohhh" more than one says. Seems that makes sense on HOW PIper got here

"How does one get in if they don't end up here accidently? Word of mouth, or do you have a trod, or just need someone to vouch for you?" Suddenly wondering if JJJ was hanging out not just to be polite, but to keep an eye on her, and she blushes a bit more.

JJJ blushes in return, "Well, we check out newcomers... offer a brownie instead of a scowl, I say. We do a bit of word of mouth, and vouching helps. Since Gerd brought you, I guess we can tell you that there is a trod here. We keep a tight lid on it... it opens to a different song depending on the night..."

Spike smirks "We fight over who gets to set the knew keys every three months. Finally it was decided by lots.. lucky winner gets to set the tune/song" A roll of eyes "It can be agony if you want to sing 'Roll out the barrels' if you want to get anywhere Friday night"

“Where does out lead out to?” Curious. “I’d like to come back, that is, if I was welcome, but not sure I'd want to have to ask for a Flicker Flash favor each time… and then to get back s as well.”

"Westchester County , New York State.. kind of a hoity toity area"

“That not too bad. For a second I thought you were going to say it came out in Funhouse territory.”

"oh nowhere near DC" JJJ Jokes

A snort. “That’s another place full of clowns!”

"So you live near Rivervale huh? What's it like?" Spike asks

A sigh and a conflicted look. “Generally pretty good. There’s a new commoner mews that just opened up, in a recording studio. I thought I'd carved out a little niche for myself, but now I'm not so sure. I miss Cali weather, but more than that, I think I miss… this.” She gestures a bit at the party around them. “Folk in Rivervale are understanding, but they don't really understand, if that makes sense?”

"No satyrs in the new commoner mews?"

“A couple, but… I don’t know. It’s nice, but still not sure how much it will be under the baronial thumb?

"Ah" JJJ nods "I get it"

She makes a decision and stands suddenly. “I want another drink. Who needs a drink?”

Hands go up!

A bright smile and she trots around to hand out cups of whatever strong drink she could find, slamming one back herself and then getting another to sip on.

“No rules, no judgement, no nobility… you’ve got a great setup here.”

"Well... we have rules, we just don't assume like you break one and you can never ever be given a chance again" The big obese satyr , who it turns out is Named Bach , explains "But yeah, it's sweet"

She snuggled back down between Bach and JJJ. Big soft friends tend to give most excellent hugs. “What brought you here? That is, if you don't mind the ask.”
