"Sorry! Sorry, I...I don't know why...I'm crying..."

"Hey hey, it's okay... it's okay. " he holds her close bending down and pats her back "no crime in a good cry. You let it all out as much as you want."

Which she does. It's a sudden storm, and soon passes to mere sniffles. "Sorry," she says again, and then a shaky laugh. "I'm a mess."

"No worries. I'll laundry this shirt later " A nod "You realize you're not the one who has the most reason to cry right ? Hawg is about to become child number TWO again. Think of HIS feelings"

A sniffly laugh. "Well...maybe we could make him feel better by taking him for a ride...?" she cajoles.

"Sure, when?" A smile "now?"

A hopeful nod.

He grins "Guess I got here" He pulls out her helmet which, it turns out still fits, and tosses it to her. Soon enough, they're taking hawg for a ride
