A blink. "I will introduce you. I would not have you arrive without escort." She doesn't specifically mention that it's because he's a childling, but she might not be able to hide that fact, either.

He looks vaguely put upon, but nods

Ravens fly overhead, most chimerical

And a thane leans lazily near the gate. It's an illusion... the thane is real. Of course, but he's quite alert, and he's not the only one watching.

"Hail, Teaneck," Brekke says as they approach.

The troll straightens, "Hail to you, Chieftain of Rivervale." A glance at the boy "new lodge mate?""

"A visitor. This is Juniper. He seeks to learn more of the noble houses, and how they function. I thought he might learn much here. Is the Baron available?"

"Mater of fact, I believe he is. One moment"

And the thane motions "Please come in, the parlor okay?"

"Yes, thank you." She gestures for Juniper to go first, and they both follow the thane to the parlor.

The parlor has troll sized furniture, not a lot of it, but there in the corner

ANd shortly, the baron shows up, dressed rather causually "Chieftain, to what do I owe the honor?"

Brekke did just come from the practice ring, so she is rather casually garbed herself, and she offers him a handshake. "Baron Kealan, it is good to see you. Please forgive the interruption to your day. This is Juniper DeBuke," she says with a slight emphasis on the name. "He has come to Rivervale asking to observe the ways of a noble hold. I thought he might get a better view of a more traditional hold here. Would you be willing to host him for a three-day?"

"I see.. hI Juniper." The SPymaster smiles then says "I'll take him in, Chieftain. He's got a sly look. I like sly"

She gives a slight grin and nods. "I thought you might get along, yes. Juniper, I leave you with Baron Kealan. Please let me know if you need anything of me." Then to Kealan, "We should talk about Pennons soon, my friend."

"I have Doomwind on my retainer still" A smile "But I know you want a rematch with her, and I am not so cocky as to not have a keg or two of the finest ready"

Juniper waves to the Chief "Thanks, Chief." He turns to the Baron "So... nice place you got here. "

Brekke chuckles slightly, then departs, leaving the boy in the keeping of a trusted friend.
