"Well, I can ask." She says "But I wouldn't be surprised if the answer's no. Our Alpha is a good guy but a bit reserved"

"If you wanted to lay on hands with me, I'd not say no." She says with a wink. "But if it takes going to your home den and ticking off the boss, I will heal alright. I'm just sad about the hair, I was growing it out. It will be harder to hang shinies in it with it short."

"You know what? I might have a way to help the hair too. Don't get your hopes up too much. But I'll ask. For now, sample the food, let me know what you love. For me? this is patriotism" She munches a tart then kisses the Corax gently

She returns the kiss, and points out her favorites. Though it's hard to tell WHERE she's hiding it all, Nevara manages to make good work of a very large meal. "Bird metabolism." She explains.

"How's Sam doing? I hope she was able to get some use out of that nasty cage metal." She asked in a pause.

"Kind of jelly of that metabolism" She says "Oh Sam's great. Gettinng all sorts of honors soon in fact at her own place"

"Ooooo? I've been wondering about her. She's interesting. All of the honor of a Silver Fang with none of the inbred fussiness."

"Well they can have a temper that would rival your wolf guys believie ot or not"

"Oooooh.... You know, that makes sense. I was wondering why she picked out the harmony flute."

"Oh right" A realizationn "Did you never get that gift?"

"Oh!" She fishes into her shirt, and pulls out a silver raven charm on a chain. "I did! Didn't I thank you for it? It's perfect. But now I feel like I need to get you something else in return. I have something... but I thought maybe I'd give that to Sam, since she's being celebrated and all. I need to find a PROPER shiny for you, Dee."

"Awww... and you don't owe us a thing." She says

"I owe you my life, and I don't take that simply." She grins. "Besides, I LIKE giving presents. Raven's eyes mean that we like to gather fun things, but he's generally against us accumulating much wealth. Things are to be shared like knowledge. And you have to travel light! Ah, I love my bike, but I need to get back in the air." A wistful glance up at a songbird flitting past. "Look at that one, teasing me."

"She totally is. Probably sings better tahn I do on top of it. Let's hate that little bitch together and say passive aggressive things about her while we eat?"

She is trying a sandwich

Nevara scooches over and lays her head in Dee's lap, popping her mouth open, "Ahhh"!

"Ha.. shouldn't i be more of a 'cheep cheep' sound?" teasing, but yes, she breaks off a mouth sized piece and feeds her

Nev grins, and relaxes. "Sorry if I worried you. We ravens aren't in the line of fire often - the name of the game is to find the fight and point the fighters that way... but the world is at war, and occasionally I get in the crosshairs of some baddy."

"I see that" Lavender admits, touching her cheek, "Knights have no right to fuss I guess about others being in danger."

"I thought most of your battles are pretend... that is, make-believe. I mean..." She frowns a bit, rephrasing. "Not affecting the mundane world, so you're sure to walk away from it, that is?"

"It's real to us... if I gget speared through the heart by a chimerical blade, it kills me"

"now.. I can revive from this draem death, but at the cost of my soul. My fae nature grows weaker, bannality coats it like ice"

"Well, don't do that then." She says, cheekily. "Anyone thinking of stabbing you, they can get some claws to the face, they can."

"Well, my 'dream weapons' hurt others too. " A wink "So I'm nnot helpless"

"Does that make you my dreamgirl?" Grinning.

"And sometimes when I'm pissy a bit of a nightmare on your couch"

"I can't imagine you as a nightmare. Well, not much of one to compare with giant demon frogs."

"I could see some of the elf lords that way, though. In a Galadrial "love me and despair" sort of way?" Thoughtful.

Mmm "Okay... I can't say I'm worse than Giant Demon Frogs.. even on my bad day" And she tilts her head "Sidhe.. s-i-d-h-e.. our elves? yeah, they have those love me and despair angles"

"Mmm. I'll take you, all things considered." A happy sigh, reaching up to lightly run her fingers through Dee's hair..

"If you could somehow magic up some hair help though, I wouldn't say no. Vanity aside, I feel all discombobulated without something to preen. The feathers are growing back - apparently THEY count as healing. Don't ask to see them, I look like a half-roasted chicken."

"I know a lady who does this thing with Srpingg magics? She's nott a friend but I thinnk I can ask"

"Uh oh. Did I just catch myself asking favors of the Fair Folk? My mentor would whallop me for that."

"Realax.. you're not in any danger unless you eat our food" And she gives her another bit of sandwich with a smirk

A laugh, and she takes a bite. "If it's you stealing me away under your faerie hill, I might not mind so much."

"Don't worry, soon you'll fly free and fast and gathering the shinies"

"I'll bring you so many, and you can hang them in your nest!"

"Or dangle them in your hair whenn it regrows"

"I can put them in your hair, and see them when I come to see you."

"mm " She is tempted to mention her horns, "I wouldn' mind. Hey, I want to apologize. If I'd kept in touch a bit more I might have been fussing over you sooner"

"You've been great. I'm busy so much of the time - I constantly have to be on the go, bringing news, carrying stories and spying on the enemy. That makes every time you reach out special, because I can take a break and come see you."

"And you saved me from starving to death, too!" A grin. "I tried to stop in a grocery store and the cashier screamed at me. Normally I'm a bit better at veils, but all my spirit-juice is pouring into healing right now."

"Awww" She blushes "Darn it.. now I'm all mushy. "

"I should reach out more often. It's not like I don't think of you, you know. It's just always, so many things going on..."

"Don't blame yourself. I'm get caugght up in the moment and the where I am without thinkingg further out."

"Tell you what.. once I'm healed up, I have an idea for something fun. Will you let me take you out?

"Absolutely. You pick the place, we make sure it's a good time for whatever night, and boom, I'm there."

A grin! "I have just the thing. And I'll send a gift to Sam for her event, too. No worries, I won't sneak off to her private faery ring or anything... but I know spirit messengers who can find just about anyone."

"Yeah? Huh.." A thought "Try a falcon spriit ? Trust me, it might work better"

A thoughtful look. "A falcon, hm? That sounds familiar... I can do that. Tell me, does Sam like riddles?"

"She never struck me as the sort who did" She admits "But that doesn't mean she isn't. She's ..kind of straight forward?"
