It's cheesy as hell though....

A knife is thrown at her, narrowly missing her by inches!

But miss it does, sticking in the tree

A yelp in surprise! And she looks for the thrower.

Looks like a leering redcap

He readies annother knife..."Got you this time, little one"

And a BOOM Sound!

She tugs at the knife, seeing if she can pull it loose from the tree to arm herself.

Piper arms herself, then sees the redcap go down from Chimerical gunpowder

Blink BLINK!

Clackey McClack lowers his chimerical musket "It's a Shellpopper, this beauty!" Patting his gun

A salute to Clacky!

Muldoon calls out "Fine fine you're free to go.. "

The satyr snaps. he's lost , it seems too many folks, chimerically speaking

Siv SCOWLS

But Jonas says "Code of Dagda says we should let them surrender"

Piper scoots down from her safe position. "Was that a surrender? It sounded more like he is looking to get out intact so he can shake down the next person." She looks for Jonas's sister.

Jackie says "You really want to risk your lady there, Jonas??"

Siv is a mess... a redcap tore a chunk through her.

Muldoon says "Just so.. fine.. we don't break it off, we fight, you win.. but you really want half of you in a coma to pay for it?"

"But if we let them go, they'll just do the same to the next person to show up, and what if they can't fight back at all?" Piper heads for Siv's side.

Siv says "She's right.. not worth my.."

At this moment while Siv explains her hide isn't worth this sort of thing going on, Piper feels magic flowing around Jackie's handaxe at her side

trying to sneak a cantrip into effect

She turns, edging to putting herself between Siv and Jackie. "Jonas, she's casting something... from her handaxe..." The 'borrowed' knife held tight.

The hand axe flinggs towards the already wounded Siv but Piper is i nthe way and..

Piper's horn happens to block Siv's heart... there is a terribe pain like someone trying to rip out TWO teeth at once in Piper's skull and the axe goes askew missing its intended target

Siv's response is one of FURY "DROWN IN FILTH YE BITCH!"

and the beach turns into quicksand, at least the part Jackie is standig over! Trolls are heavy by nature, Jackie no exception

Piper doesn't know WHAT has hit her and is stunned for a moment, a shaky hand reaching up to her head as her legs threaten to buckle under her.

Blood flowing and the batle is on.. Siv yells "Jonas, get Piper back! For the love that you have for both of us!"

And Jonas grabs Piper and throws her into his arms like craddling a baby and begins to take her away from the fight

"You have to go back! Siv needs you! I'll be okay!" Piper insists, though she knows no such thing.

"I can't risk losing you both!" He says "I'm sorry"

"I can hide! But Siv's already hurt and she's STILL fighting!"

"And she may never forgive herself if she kills your kin..." She insists to Jonas, pleading. "You have to help her, and stop the fighting if you can!

Cursing, he lets her go setting her down gently "Stay here, hide... and stop playing with your horn. I think it's trying to come off. "

She bites her tongue versus saying "My WHAT is WHAT?" and instead just nods. "Go!"

Now she must wait instead of helping. And she must not touch her horn. GAH

But does Piper try to peek at the fight? or does she wisely stay huddled where she was left?

She obeys Jonas. Halfway. She doesn't touch her horn... though she does creep back towards the battle, sneaking along at an angle to try to peer back without being seen.

Sneak sneak sneak... oh what a battle, Jackie is now encased in solid rock which at least won't drown her. Molduun is trying to retreat! But Jonas is tearing after him wearing the form of a jungle cat! Siv is facing off yet another redcap but seems to have the upperhand thanks to another captain fighting by her side.

And then?

She exhales in relief as she sees her side apparently succeeding.

And a hand covers her mouth as she's put in a tight lock of a hold "You're my way out of this. " HOw many redcap goons did Muldoon have? "You get to be me hostage."

Still holding that knife that the earlier redcap had thrown at her.... she reverses it, and tries to jab BACK into the person behind her, unseen!

"Bitch I'll break your neck!" He cries out in pain as she stabs him, grabs her head... and there's blood not just on him but over her left eye...

as he falls on his ass holding a horn that looks very familar "What the hell?"

But she's free!

She tries not to THINK about that horn. I could grab the knife and stab him again, make sure he's down, or... Instead, she lifts a leg high and STOMPS on his groin. "That should keep you floored for a while."
