Jessica hears the cry for help behind the frozen door. Here she is in Texas leading a party of rescuers... a roof has caved in from weight of snow and ice

"Here....."she calls to the others, and then do the door "STAND BACK!"

Sounds of movement away from the door

the othes join her

Jessica hefts her maul, winds up, and SWINGS at the door.

The door is burst open... and they see a sluagh boy clutching his ears. There's also man with pinned under the snow and ice his leg trapped. He appears to be kinain, not a true sluagh, but pale of skin.

And there's a woman, the mother, satyr kinian

Jessica enters, looking for threats or danger.

Power out...snow in.. thte danger appears to be the freezing cold

Happily, supplies are at hand but first....

Jessica secures her maul and goes to the man to figure out how his leg is pinned.

"Near as we can tell " the woman says "There's a wooden beam in the snow..it cracked and fell on his leg. We're not strong enough to lift it"

Coy moves over to join the countess "Bet WE are"

Jessica nods to Coy and they take hold, lifting it.

And UP it goes... the man groans and with his wife's help, they get him clear. Good thing, the ice on the wood makes it slipper as hell. The roof also makes odd noises.

the sluagh boy whispers "mama? i think it's gonna break on us"

"Out. Everyone out, go. Coy, get them out."

And he does...picking up the grown man even as the mother grabs her son and they scramble througgh the sttill open door

And Jessica can see thte boy was right.. a chunk of the ceiling cracks further. Best to get the hell out

Once others are clear, she does.

Just in time as the ceiling crumbles and whompsh!

Jessica dusts the snow off of her. "Is everyone ok?" She checks her people, and the ones they found. "You folks ok?"

"My leg is... I don't think it's broken but it took a hell of a hit, beg pardon" tthe kinian fellow says

"We can help you and your companions out, get you warm. Let's get some blankets on theses folks."

And they gather them up

Jessica nods, and makes sure the group is taken to safety as she moves on to other rescues.

There are also some mortals in need of food and blankets, or winter gear. Of course, Right of ignorance means some precautions have to be taken.

Jessica reminds her people with murmurs if needed, and helps hand things out herself.

Another couple, mortal ,thank them and bless them for the aid.

"Welcome, folks, glad to help out."

Near the the end of their rescue effort, she feels something... near a run down appartment area

She signals to the others she's with, indicates the area.

And takes a closer look.

It takes a bit, but she finds the young boy, is he 8? He doesn't seem to be minding the cold so much, andn he's..wiping his lips as she finds him alone. And he tries tl slurp something down fast.. as glamour flows a bit. Is.. is that a rat tail going between his lips

Redcap? she looks for it.

Oh yes, the boy is cold, freezing and out of food.. and the experiencee has him THIS Close to find out his true self

Jessica recognizes the need for Right of Rescue.

((did they bring any 'caps with them for this mission?))

(Up to you, she could have invited Phobos or Demos or both)

((Phobos; leave Demos to guard Fenix.))

Jessica finds Phobos and whispers an explaination.

Phobos nods "I'll handle it" He sniffs the air "Yup. He's gonna pop soon one way or another. Get ready for some nightmare Chimera"

"Phobos.... do what you can. Our people are stretched right now and adding more Chimera to the ice and snow that's already here......"

"Well, option is we get one of the flicker flashers to transport me and the kid to an isolated or controled space... but there are risks in that too"

"No, just do what you can here."

"then..get ready for some nightmare critters" he repeats shrugs and goes in

Jessica nods and spreads the word. Get the mortal rescues out and away, non-combatant Fae get to safety if they can, anyone who can fight, get ready. "We have warning this time, we don't always get that; don't blow it."

As others are backed up , orgnanized...

There's an explosion of nightmarish glamour... whatever is going on, it's intense... and they can hear Phobos, in his LOUD voice chanting "The power of Stephen King Compells you! THE pOWER OF STEPHEN KING COMPELLS YOU!"
