In the end, Coradel decides to go to the facility herself, rather than send a representative on her behalf. She calls upon Oswald to go with her. Of course, word gets around quickly, so any others who feel they'd like to find out more might ask if they could come along.

Oswald comes along of course. Delores makes them sandwiches if they like.

"Oh, Delores, thank you, but I hardly think that's necessary for a trip of this nature."

"As you wish, Baroness," She says.

Instead of riding over, they take Coradel's snazzy red sports car. Coradel dresses in a classic power suit.

They pull in and are almost immeditely greeted by a woman with short blonde hair and an easy smile, clearly picked to be non threatening and welcoming. "Hello? Welcome to our camp." They also notice a few other adults moving between various tents.

"Good morning!" Coradel has her own smile, but hers is less easy. She's the one with power here. She offers a hand (in a leather driving glove) to shake. "I'm Chloe DuBois-Rachford, and this is my associate Oswald," she says as she nods in his direction. "My property borders this facility," a slight wave in the direction of the manor, "and I would like to know more about exactly what you do here."

Clearly Chloe's name is known, at least half of it, and the lady isn't about to displease a rich land owner. "Oh, Mrs. DuBois - Rachford. I'm Lisa Tanks, and this camp gives autustic children a chance for companionship and development."

"Ah, yes? Tell me more." Without waiting for invitation, Coradel starts strolling in the direction of some of the tents. (How chilly is Lisa?) "And, what exactly is your role here, Miss Tanks?"

"Community Coordination," Lisa says with a practiced smile and goes with her,"I'll be hapy to give you a tour but we don't treat the children as show pieces" She's no autumn person, but she's not warm either.

"Of course not. I'm not here to gawk at them, but I am interested in their activities. And...interesting. Community Coordination, you say? And yet, isn't it odd that you have not yet reached out to the closest neighbor in your community?" Her smile sparkles.

Lisa gets a guarded look, "Autism isn't contagious, if that's some story you've heard. And we keep a close eye on them to make sure they stay in our area." Well that last is not true at least not with childlings working against them.

"Contagious? Oh, honestly! What do you take me for?!" The offense is genuine.

"I apologize," She says "If I offended, but some days it seems like half my job is dealing with some very ignorant people."

"Let me assure you, I am not among that number. Now...tell me what's going on here." She pauses by one of the open tents where there are children inside.

((To clarify tone, she's asking about what the children are doing, not making an accusation of the facility.))

Lisa says "Well, at this tent, we're having them work art, coloring books, playdo, that sort of thing." She smiles and shows a few. The children do seem to be engaged to various degrees

"Mm-hm." She nods, observing for a few moments. "Do you serve children from all points on the spectrum? Or only those more severely effected?"

Still standing outside the tent, and voice pitched so the comment doesn't carry as far as the children.

"All points, but mostly the more severe ends"

She nods again, and then smoothly steps into the tent before the woman can stop her. She isn't in a hurry, but she does begin to peruse the children's artwork.

Presumably, Oswald is right behind her.

He is and looks about curiously for a moment "And you're certified for this care?"

The woman smiles "Oh we're fully approved."

Excellent question, Oswald, Coradel thinks to herself. "Approved by...?"

"The city," She says.

The City may give permits, for a lOT of things. Camps, Carnivals etc, but they dont make these folks qualified.

Coradel shoots a glance her way, but doesn't comment directly. She's still moving around, looking at the art. If a child looks up at her, she meets their gaze with a far friendlier smile than she offered Miss Tank.

And she's covering that

That also begs the question of who at the city is approving uncertified camp activities. And why.

A few do look up, and Coradel can see they look perky, lively, and the workers here seemed struggling to keep up with some of them.

Miss Tank smiles "Of course. "

That's not quite what she was expecting to see from these children. Perhaps these people are doing something right? Or...are these the children who have interacted with the childlings?

Anything glamour-touched at all in the children or the artwork?

It is the ones who interacted with the childlings, and... in fact the more she looks at the various activiites, the more she realizes the workers aren't prepared for the new energy level, which might lend to the thought they're not as trained as they pretend to be.
