At THAT statement, it is Bronte's turn to nearly faint in horror. The idea someone might be book deprived?

Zara makes a noise.

"A fosterage for mortals" She said "But I have not been there in a great deal of time"

Tziporah smirks "Oh now you've done it, kid."

"It sounds like you are well rid of it," Coradel nods. "And do trust Zara to point you towards all the very best books, whatever your interests."

"And aye, a mundane fosterage is no place for a childling. Too cold to stay."

Zara scans the shelves, efficiently locating and retrieving three books. The "Second edition" is quite a tome, while the others are newer and slimmer.

Well, if Zara can manage to carry all three, Coradel should do fine with them. She relieves Zara of her burden quickly. "Oh, yes, this is the one," of the older tome. "And I look forward to what's in the others! Thank you, Zara. Melia, I hope to see you at supper this evening." A nod to all as she turns for the door.

"Your cookie" Earl hands her that too. It smells wonderful "Be well"

Coradel, armed with knowledge, and a cookie, heads out, leaving the room Sidheless

"There. And you are officially welcomed, so Ivanka can set you up with a room."

"Thank you, Earl." He gets a smile as she gracefully manages books and cookie (being sure not to get the crumbs of one on the others). Then she's off, clearly on a hunt for something to be found in these pages.

Meila admits "She seemed... nice, but sidhe are so overwhelming. I can barely look away"

"Who would want to?" Tziporah sighs thinking of her own boyfriend

"I respect Coradel. Fiona, as a rule, are a genial house. She has not forced me to kneel to her, which, ironically, has earned her far more loyalty on my part than any compelled service."

Earl nods "Yes, I feel much the same."

This seems to ease the childling even more.

As if on Que, Ivanka arrives.. and bobs her head "Miss Zara? Squire Velvet said you had sent for me?"

At the mention of Velvet Earl mutters "She's getting good"

"We have a guest. She will need a room - or, perhaps, an out of the way closet or cupboard?"

"Ooo, my own cupboard?" the girl inquires

Ivanka says "Actually, there is a very cramped small room WITH a Cupboard that is not in use. Would that do?" Ivanka knowing the sluagh mindset keeps track of the rooms that anyone else would not appreciate

The childling looks to Zara "may I?"

"Somewhere dusty and out of the way would be best. I trust your discretion, Miss Ivanka."

"I shall have it prepared," She looks at the young lady "Would you like to see it as I transform it from cluttered to delightfully wretched? Or wait till it is done?"

Meila beams "I would like to watch, please" A pause "And my name is Meila. Thank you"

"One moment," Earl says "Before you go. Let's get you library card, and one book. Miss Zara might suggest one" A look to Zara "Goosebumps?"

"Harriet."

Very firm. She unerringly seeks out the book.

"What, no Tom Sawyer?" Earl teases very lightly.

"No Pippi Longstocking?" Tziporah joins in

Zara finds the Harriet book promptly, of course, and it is, of course, the CORRECT choice

No - Melia is ready to read of the Spy, an icon to many a young sluagh.

She takes the book and hugs it, "it smells nice" she observes

A card is prepared for the childling, her name entered, and the book properly noted as checked out

Bronte beams at the girl's praise of one of HER books in the hoard "She closed the book and put her cheek against it. There was still an odor of a library on it, of dust, leather, binding glue, and old paper, one book carrying the smell of hundreds.. The Goose Girl"

Melia says "I'll take good care of it, Miss Zara, Bronte. I promise" as if this was a rare and wondrous treasure. Which, of course, it is. "Good bye, Tziporah, Earl. Thank you so much" She and her little spider soon head out with Ivanka

“She never minded admitting she didn't know something. So what, she thought; I could always learn.” Zara murmurs to Bronte.

Bronte licks Zara's ear in approval

"Goodnight." She bids to the pair.

Once the pair is gone, Tziporah says "Is little brother okay? Jacob got weird for a bit"

"Yacob.... is protective, aye? Perhaps he needs more attention from his siblings."

"It cannot be too direct, for he is a sluagh."

"Yeah , you guys are high maintenance " The Eshu observes, then looks at Earl "Am I right, big guy?"

Earl raises a brow at the question as if to say 'you don't seriously expect me to fall into THAT trap do you?'

Zara rasps a laugh.

"I'll drop by and pester him then duck out again" Tziporah offers

"As big sisters, we are obliged to pester our younger brother. And he, in turn, must do the same to us. It is known."

"It is known" she obliges then she seems to realize something "Pardon, you two love birds forgive me. I need to check with Herald Innish. I have some work for Earth Runes maybe." A pause "AND I might kiss my boyfriend, scandalously"

Earl deadpans "In a Fiona hold? Unheard of."
