Coradel is drawn to a pair of lacy ones, but they're in a silvery yarn that's impossibly soft.

"Oh, yes, my darlings. Come to me...you're mine."

At that point, the socks start to move slowly away from her. Her kenning reveals a cantrip in action

"Wait...what...?" She follows and reaches for them again.

They jump just out of reach again....

A pout...but also the fun of the hunt! What lioness doesn't enjoy a good game of POUNCE? She tries to stop them by stepping on them!

They start to move, but she's quite the athlete and steps on ONE, the other is getting away

"No!" She drops full-length (gracefully!) to grab a the escaping sock without moving her foot from the one she captured!

And thus, she gets her prey, but.. she also is now on laying down on her belly, one foot holding one stocking, her outstretched hands on the other. She wins... though it renders her prostrate and face down

But gracefully so!

Indeed, she looks downright fetching!

Sidhe bonus

"My lady, is it boxing day already?" Shalimar asks

Coradel looks up, craning her neck to do so. "Perhaps it is, for this sort of reversal." She's smiling, though, and holds up one half of her quarry. "Beautiful, aren't they?"

"Aye, but ... baroness, would not red socks be bolder for thee?" Coaxing "Those will make your feet look chonky"

"Are you suggesting silver is a less Fiona color than red?" It might resemble a yoga move, but she very slowly moves from flat to crouching, again without moving her foot, making sure the second sock is held immobile.

"merely that YOU are worthy of BOLDER colors, less mothlike colors" He says "And really, the chonky feet thing will turn off August."

Finally getting hold of that second sock, she rises, appreciating her catch. Then she turns a look on Shalimar. "I see. You wish them for her? Well...you will have to find me a pair as good or better and fetch them here. If I approve, I will make the trade."

It's a very minor quest, but it may prove a challenge.

Shallimar looks just a bit sheepish "Curse my too easy to read pooka tongue... I shall go into the field ... after all, if one can't appreciate the Joy of Socks in a Fiona hold, where can one?"

And with a bow and a jangle, her jester, who was , after all, stealing socks for his love which forgives much, goes off to attend to this quest

Earl seeks out Zara

"Not sure I should have traded those others with Shallimar" He mutters "But these ARE kind of...cool"

He holds up the socks he was offered (And took) in trade for the silver ones he had found

"You didn;t trade any of mine, aye?"

"Oh" He jumps a bit, she can still catch him off guard even when he's looking for her "No.. there is a whole load out there of varying quallity" He says "The ones I thought you might like were silver with tiny stones... but Shalimar assured me you'd like thesse better"

"Ah."

"They're certainly.... vibrant..."

"Yeahh.." he admits "Well, when Shallimar started talking he played up your nocker heritage..." Sheepishly "Did I just get suckered?"

"They're from you, love. Therefore, I love them."

He smiles at that, "Well, please, feel free to take them apart and make them better, or dye them as you wish. I am not the only artist here"

A thought 'For that matter, the new tapestry is breath taking"

"Oh, aye! Is not Madame Beldame talented? A true artist."

"Yes... and apparently it exhausts her" He observes "I'm fighting protective urges, dear. Remind me she might be insulted if I intruded on her crumpling in a true elder swoon?"

"She would, aye."

"Leave a cup of tea nearby?"

"Of course, permission t dip into your higher quality stuff?" Oh sure, Delores brings it in, but everyone accepts that is Zara's stash

She nods. "For the Crone? Aye."

Earl has that fascinated look, "I love that your kith honors elders, did I ever mention that?"

"Nay? Do not the trolls?"

"We do, but I suppose I should say that while we honor and respect them, and their strength does NOT fade as it does in sons of Adam, it isn't to the point where we look forward to it. I think Grumphood alarms us...we hide it well. Sluagh however don't fear their sunset in the slightest"

"Oh, no - it is an honored state. One I look forward to, though... ah... mayhaps not so much of a rush."

His eyes sparkle "Forgive, I rather like the fact you still have wilder energy "

A wry little grin. "Aye, that. And, truth, I would be a mother ere I am a crone."

"You'll be a wonderfful mother" he assures "When you feel the time is right."

"I have thought about it, aye. And... perhaps in two or three years?"

He grows thoughtful, "Our finances would allow it , though perhaps a fund stored away for that time is wise. Clem would want to be your midwife, and she's VERY good," Earl says then adds, "You've always been my muse, and in this... I would be honored to create WITH you, a life. That would outshine any other creation I've ever made. YOu realize that we cannot raise a child in vaccum, DeBukes and Scwhartz and Cohens and more will swarm us. We'll need to establish boundaries"

"Oh, heavens, yes. My mother aches to be a Bubbe."
