The little pooka boy , still staring at the freehold in wonder with his satyr brother says "It's a bit run down, but I like it."

The satyr lad laughs "It's AWESOME!"

Each of the chrysalids has a Sister on their tail, for now.

The two sisters feel positively giddy, the boys are still exuding glamour, though the hold seems to be taking a tithe not just to fuel itself, but to stabalize the fall out. The left over is still more than enough to make the sisters a bit 'intoxicated'. Were they pokemon, they'd evolve on the spot.

Dame Claire , heading security, approaches Zara and August, and bows to the latter, "I'd ask what's going on, but it's pretty clear. Suggestion to have other childlings guide the little ones around on a tour before we do anything official? Delores is setting up guest rooms for the night. "

"Maybe Poppy?"

"Poppy would love it" Claire agrees

"And Pooka seem to parse each other well enough..."

Rüzgarla nods "Indeed. An older pooka should also be ready after that tour."

"Shallimar is in the house, " Claire says "And, pardon, you are?"

"Rüzgarla," The Eshu gives a bit of a bow, "Zara and I are old friends ever since we met at a market where we haggled over where some finds would serve best. She won the argument but mutual respect was found."

"Dame Claire ap Ailil, Captain of the guard for her Baroness. " Claire could really care less about purchases and such, if Zara vouches for this Eshu, it is fine.

"I have invited Miss Rüzgarla as my guest, as hospitality allows."

"Well, we'll certainly have the glamour to spare right now" She says. Poppy has already showed up and her eyes light with delight at a kitten pooka.

"I would not be surprised if my sister or cousin arrive shortly. Eshu have a way."

"Our blessing and curse," Rüzgarla says but does not naysay her.

Other childlings arrive on the scene as well. The hold does have a few, including Squire Nelson.

August has locked up the Prius and jogs up the stairs to the front door to where the rest of the group stands.

Claire bows to him again "Baron, any other orders?" She catches him up

Octa bounces off from the pooka to greet Lily - now there are even more eyes on the new kids!

"Shalimar and Vashti might do well as mentors, nu? And.. hm..."

"...Miss Stevie?"

"She's good with Childlings."

"Ah, not from me at the moment, I think. The Chrysalids are being taken care of? We'll need to make sure their mother is... unconcerned about their whereabouts and welfare. Ah, do you know where Coradel is?"

At this, Rüzgarla ahems . She DID taser bess, now she's wondering if that was wise. A guilty look to Zara

Claire ponders "I'll set Magnus to make arrange things being okay with their mother. " Her husband as a detective isn't bad at that "Baroness Coradel is with her father at a golf course. Some '4th on the green' charity function."

"Aye. Magnus is good at that. Enough to get them here often. Tis summer, perhaps we can convince her they are at camp for the first few vital months?"

"Not a bad idea, Miss Zara" Delores says "We're preparing a banquet to celebrate. Ah, pardon, Miss Zara, but who found the childlings dream dance first?"

The steward had come out of nowhere

August smiles ruefully. "I'd forgotten. Of course." as to Coradel's whereabouts.

"Miss Rüzgarla and I were both present, and August was there shortly after."

"It was rather sudden, Baron" Claire says "her father roped her into it. "

The Steward nods "Traditionally, there is something of a finder's fee for those that find and help resolve Dream Dances" Delores says "We'll arrange one to show our gratitude as a hold. No items of legend, but something."

"Miss Rüzgarla was invaluable in preventing the childlings from being stolen by that chimerical coach. And August, in rescuing us." A rueful smile. "Impeccable timing, the both of them."

Rüzgarla looks pleased at the notion of a reward ,and demures at Zara's comment "Yes, can't stress enough how nice it was to get out of that carriage thanks to the Baron."

"Which of course brings to mind the need to see where that carriage came from. I doubt it was purely autonomous."

"THe way it reacted to the Baron, it may not have had a mind but it at least had... a sense of its purpose? One he intruded on, along with your foul fortune" The Eshu considers it "Everyone wants new Chrystalids, hopefully for noble reasons, but not always. But if someone has CARRIAGES roaming around hunting them down... is this a lucky happen stance or did someone find out about the boys then send it specifically there?"

"They're Carnival babies. Their mother Bess is a Queen. So... " A little frown. "So they'd be obvious, if one were looking for potentials. That it was chimerical should mean the culprit is one of our own, not some Prodigal."

Claire nods "We need to get what's left of that carriage omened and more. I'll get our Seer on it. Unless, of course, you call dibs on the job, Miss Zara?"

"I rather do. Of course, Sir Almandine is welcome to try his hand if he wishes.... after."

Claire looks more amused than anything "YOu maybe the only hold librarian that pulls rank on a hold seer"

A little quirk of grey lips.

Rüzgarla looks surprised at this, but only for a moment

"It was only my duty to the Dreaming." August demures.

"Well, Baron," The steward says "I might agree with you, but i don't give you SOME part of the recognition for your part in this, Coradel , my liege, will STEAM for days. You know how proud she is of you regardless."

"I must admit, the more I hear of this carriage the more I'm reminded of.... ah, a Wild Hunt."

"It would be out of season, of course. These days. But."

"He's not wrong" Rüzgarla agrees, "The Couch De Bower is one of death, forgive my pronouciation, Gaelic was never my strong point, but that story and this Wild Hunt ARE a bit like a mix here. Passage into a new life, and abduction. We changelings tend to take new chrystalids anyway for their own safety and our survival. But this does have a wild hunt feel"

"Out of season, and directed at innocents."

August nods thoughtfully.
