Siv comes in from the trods, muttering "Feels so weird not to go by ship"

Little spiders go a-scurry.

She sees the spiders, and apologizes "I forgot to bring popcorn. Sorry"

One waggles its forelimbs at her, before continuing to scuttle away. No hard feelings!

"Ah, they're sweeties." She's not a huge fan of spiders, but she hates mosquitos, and is grateful for an ally in the war against those pests. She makes her way to the library

The door is ajar!

She peeks in then smiles, taking a chance whispers the librarian version of Shave and a hair cut... sort of

Two bits?

"On either side the river lie
Long fields of barley and of rye,
That clothe the wold and meet the sky;

Tremble in the water chilly..." And then she stops before getting to that next line

Zara rises from a chair, hand to her chest. A pot of tea is gently steaming.

Siv grins, "So glad you're here. I.. oh, you already have tea prepared. "

A look "Zara, did I come at a bad time?"

"A guest must needs be honored with tea, nu?"

Realization "Ah, the ladies announced me. I really DO owe them popcorn" She moves forward "I brought some tea too, fancy stuff .. ah.." An admission "I think. I've no idea what this blend is. Gerd likes it"

She brightens. "A gift of tea? Oh, trust, it shall be appreciated. Miss Gerd has good taste, at that. Of course, I know who taught her."

"That you do" Siv chuckles "Looks like it's not just the farm where you're known as the corruptor" She takes a seat and hands the gift over.

Zara takes it, raising it up for a little sniff. "Ah!"

"Speaking of tea, yours smells lovely as always"

"Now, how've you been?"

"Well enough. Cozy, I would say."

"mmm then I almost feel guilty disrupting your comfort, because I..well.. I've a favor to ask of you. Regarding a lost boy"

A brow. "I am soft-hearted, but... a favor? Do I know this boy?"

"Holger of Fenix," Siv says "Troll lad. He visits Rivervale often, learning trollish culture and all. Well, last time he visited, he went back to the trods and vanished. I know it's almolst imposible to scry in the dreaming, but if anyone had a chance I figured you might."

"Childlings are strong in glamour - they oft do well in the Dreaming, for they are closer to their true soul, and not their mortal youth."

"Vali said that was one good thing about it. Still, he's off on some quest to get something to trade for a puppy, so it surely seems like a very childling thing"

"That does sound like a child's quest, aye. Would you seek to deny him this?"

"My sister's in a panic. So... yes? Yes I would?" She has the decency to look ashamed "Not very Fiona like, is it?"

"No."

"And Jessica.. well... she is much of your parents."

"I can seek this Holger, though the Dreaming is often elusive to tattletale. But."

"But?"

"But I will not aid in the ending of his quest."

Mmm she ponders "is there some way you can send him a fair fortune?"

"That is more challenging - I can see if he is safe, how he fares. But would you swoop in and bring the boy home? Nay. I cannot abide that, if he is not in mortal peril."

"How are children to grow, if not by growing?"

"Even a grump can be in need of rescue" Siv says "What if he is in trouble?"

She stops herself "And I'm sorry, I don't mean to intrude on your kind offer to see if he IS safe. Please, that would be wonderful"

"If he is in trouble, then the right of rescue applies."

"But if he is not, promise you will allow the boy to continue."

"Zara.. I don't make oaths so casually, but I can tell you I'll try to tell the others that we should leave him to his quest less we make things worse." She nods

"A.... discreet observer might not be out of order. Mayhaps someone like Olgar more than Frank."

"And not an oath. Just... my price, aye?"

"Mom and Dad aren't even aware yet to be fair, be another week before they get back from Alaska. It's Hearth Kerri, Mountain Vali, and yes that still sounds weird to me, and Acting Storm Dagmar. She's really stepped up by the way."

Then a sip "And.. aye. Your price is I won't interfere to stop his quest if he's okay. Sounds fair, and thank you"

"Think have how you felt muffled when your family sought to box you in, for concern?"

"I would not see the boy hurt, but trolls, bless...." A soft gesture with her hands.

"I know, we tire you sometimes" Amusement "And yet, somehow, you end up purring like a kitten when Earl and you come back from those odd little trips for a day or two so I guess you like SOME troll things" Wicked Fiona sparkle, not unlike Coradel

She taps her nose. "I love my Trueheart, but he has learned he cannot keep me in a bottle."

A brow lift "So many jokes about him restraining you come to mind right now, but as I don't want your wrath I'll put them back in the Fiona shelf. "
