The halls of Earthrunes... Coradel finds August in his office

It's about a week before Samhain, give-or-take, and Coradel has just departed from a conversation with Leonora and Bachdion. She's now in search of August, and seems in a very pleased mood!

A jaunty tap-itty-tap-tap on his office door. "August! Are you there?"

A pause before his response. "Yes. Come in."

And she does. "Hello, love! I've just had the most wonderful conversation. Do take a break for a moment so I can share it with you."

"Of course." He closes his books and sets aside his notes, rising to greet her with a kiss.

She slips her arms around him and doesn't rush the kiss.

It seems it would have been a simple kiss, almost perfunctory, but not any more....

Oh, not at all! Her news might be delayed for a few moments...but then she pulls away at what might be a slightly frustrating moment. Incidental, or wicked? Hard to say.

He takes a deep breath and allows her to pull away. "A conversation?"

"Yes. News, actually." She shows him the flyer for a dance contest in a barony in St. Louis. "Leonora is going to compete in this, we've recruited Bachdion to dance with her, and now it's turning into a full field trip, complete with luxury hotel suite." She looks delighted.

"Say you'll join us, love," she entices.

"Ah." he nods, taking the flyer and reading it for details.

"Join you?" not asking for clarification as much as considering the question allowed. He checks the date.

[10:02 PM] there3's a lot more about categories, types of dance etc. She knows the Barons of the Ark are in the City of St. Lous, near the Duke and Duchess. They rule the small slice of the world famous St. Louis zoo.
[10:03 PM] She didn't get to know the barons well. They're rather informal normally.

"Besides being a wonderful time, it's a good idea to make more connections in more baronies," she coaxes.

She comes up behind him as he checks his calendar and runs her fingers over his shoulders.

The date doesn't have a court case or the like

He moves to the desk to check against his calendar and then nods. "I'd like to join you, yes."

"Oh, wonderful!" she says with a purr. "Leonora and Bachdion will both be delighted. I can't wait to see if Vince will be joining us, too. And who knows who else!"

He nods. "It sounds like quite a gathering."

"It does," she agrees, slipping around him to face him again. "I don't think we'll compete, you and I, but I'm sure we can get some dancing in, somehow." She sways a bit, invitingly.

With a small smile, he takes her hand and puts his other hand on her hip to dance.

A pleased curve to her lips, and she follows his lead.

It's not a full waltz, the room is too small for that, but he does lead her in a dance.

They manage very well, even given the tight quarters and the absence of music. They don't need it.

In the main court room, some maybe confused by the swaying balefire

(It's certainly nothing they haven't seen before.)

"What categories are they entering?"

"Hmm, I didn't ask." She considers. "I can imagine them in a tango, of course."

"Perhaps a salsa."

"Is anything known about the competition?"

"Only what's on the flyer, as far as I know," she indicates the paper that's been set aside on his desk.

"I suppose it's possibly some kind of nefarious plot to lure the members of a Fiona house into a dire situation," she says offhandedly.

"Nothing about specific people, then. Hm."

"Either way, it should be fun."

August frowns thoughtfully. "Barony of the Ark....." he recalls to mind which Houses rule there.

Animal lovers, so Coradel's already in favor of them.

August recalls the barons of the Ark , neither are Sidhe...at least one is apooka. The houses he recalls well. Fiona and Eiluned

Coradel seems to recall at least one Fiona pooka in the area

"I'm fairly certain one of the baron's a pooka," she says, nuzzling August's cheek as they continue to dance.

He nods against her touch. "I recall Eiluned and Fiona. So... I doubt your suspicion is a danger."

A bemused grin. "Because there was never a devious Eiluned? Or Fiona, for that matter?"
